We need to keep in our collective memory the images of the Republicans in the House holding steadfast in refusing to hear 70% of us when we wanted a combination of cuts and new revenue on the wealthy. They haven't paid anything to pull Our country out of the debt we are now in. We paid for the bank bailout, now we have to pay to reduce the debt. Are they part of this country or not. The "{Job Creators" have created jobs overseas in China and imported goods back to the U.S. so they can increase their wealth. That's how the French Revolution got started, the wealthy flaunted, while the poor starved. We need to be fair to all, even if that means the wealthy have to pay. If Congress doesn't hear us now, let them hear us next November. They even brought out one of their guys who owes $170,00000 in child support saying we need to get our house in order, he needs to pay his child support. Wheere is his arrest warrant Illinois?

My husband, our dog and I felt the earthquake here in High Point, NC. We didn't know what it was. Our dog reacted as if it was a bad storm. Just wanted you to be aware that it was felt here.

What about the Lake Anna nuclear plants nearby the epicenter of the earthquake? Any info on that? Does it trigger any response?

A team from NRC went down there to investigate the effects of the earthquake. It was underdesigned for the size of the earthquake we had. They will retrofit no doubt or add more safety features to avoid anything again.

Thousands of parents just dropped their kids off at VCU in Richmond to start the fall semester. You've shown lots of coverage of DC & NYC, which are pretty far away. How are our kids in Richmond? Are the campus buildings evacuated? Do we need to go pick up our kids? Will the semester go forward as planned?

felt the earthquaker in Bluefield WV things rattling in the house for about 1 minute or more. Sadly all the money that has been spent on disaster preparedness there is no preparation for us.

What we need is a President who acts like the most powerful person in the world with the best country in the world behind him/her. Instead of them worrying about getting reelected, get things done. Do whats best for the country not whats best for whos in you pocket book.

I really hope the best through the storm. Looking through websites about the storms, I get ferious that parents with kids are staying and not leaving in manatory evacuation areas. They are risking their kids lives. I really would hope they would put a law in where anyone with children under a certain age have to leave when there is a manatory evacuation. There could be charges like endangerment of their child(ren)j's lives. If anything, God forbids it to happen, happens to a child(ren), they can be charged up to some rectless homacide if a child(ren) would die in such area. Parents, what are you thinking staying in a storm that risk your child(ren)'s lives, plus will scare them even dramatizing them for future storms. Someone needs to step up and start doing something about these parents!!! My prayers are for you all.

i am very upset...received a Mike Huckabee call today asking for backing, and money, to defeat the "ObamaCare" law...I told them....of all days, why 9/11, to continue the political negativity that is prevalent from Washington...this is supposed to be a day of brotherhood and unity...not divisiveness.

How come Timothy Geithner is so focused on EU financial problems, when US can not fix their own budget and extreme spending – causing more panic to the general crisis and more Americans without job and educational work. Could the reason be to move attention away, though bad news today will also be bad news tomorrow.
Would it be more fair to say that we are linked together ? I just wonder
