This is 'This Just In'

You're reading "This Just In," CNN's new news blog.

You’ll find all the breaking news of the day here, from big stories like earthquakes and elections to interesting notes on the naming of the world’s richest man and Charlie Sheen’s return to his sitcom.

There’ll be posts from yours truly and the staff of CNN at large to give you the latest from the CNN Wire, plus the scoops and interviews and insight that make this a really fun and interesting place to be. You’ll know when we have live streams of events and videos of news can be posted within minutes of them coming in. Whatever confirmed information we're hearing and reporting is what you'll be reading and watching.

We aim to look far and wide at what you and the rest of the Web community are interested in and talking about with features like Web Pulse - which takes a look at the collective conversation of the internet according to Google trends, Twitter, etc. This is also the place to find out who the day’s Most Intriguing People are and there’s easy access to our Twitter account @cnnbrk.

We are essentially in "beta mode" right now, so this is a great time to let us know what you think. You can comment on every post, so get to it.

Gotta go now, news is breaking.

First off I would like to say great blog! I had a quick question that I'd like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I've had a hard time clearing my
mind in getting my thoughts out. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the
first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost just trying to figure out how to
begin. Any ideas or tips? Thanks!Watch Gossip

I am so disappointed and angry with CNN. I don't know if this is the correct place to rant? How can they continue to manipulate the "News". President Obama clearly did not call the attack a terrorist attack! He was referring to other events,(just look at the whole text) Why would you continue to damage your reputation as a "trusted" news source???? I was angered during the last election cycle and refused to watch CNN for this. Just as I was trying to get another perspective, by watching again, tis happens. Then Candy Crowley actually took his side during a freaking critical time of the process!!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!! I will condemn CNN and call them out on this till they apologize!!!!

Just saw a commercial aired during Situation Room. How dare the producers of the commercial (obviously campaigning for Romney) stoop so low as to potentially create a racism war with the Asian sector. This commercial breeds hatred and is offensive. Come on USA there are lines that should not be crossed for the good of the people, regardless of how badly you want the prize.

Mr.Romnesia's "War-On-Women" and allof his bull–pepper-Of-The-Day that he espouses everytime he opens his etch-a-sketch mouth before a crowd should be made into a comedy sitcom –such offensive, racist, egotistical, sickening diatribe will take us back into the dark ages if he gets his way - soo dangerous – so un-presidential - he scowls, bullies, lies, panders - remember –the Repugs have planned to interfere with the voting process via sending out their 'trainees' to polling places, to discourage & hassle people waiting to vote–they must be stopped! Don't let this happen! Romney thinks he has the election in the bag - don't let it happen! Stand up for your rights! Vote Obama!

On the obama/romney topic. Dudes it's politics .....nuff said ....
Still i admire the patriotisme that lives in the heart of the american people , if only our country was that way .
Howard Gutman pretends that the Belgium citizens are agreeing with eachother .....lol please dude get your facts right mister Gutman......the french side doesn't bring any serious income for the economie and the flemish side doesn't know how the cope with history.

Everyone who ignored the mandatory evacuation (unless unable to for some real reason...not just being stubborn) should have charges pressed against them if they need to be rescued...the severity of the charge to be determined by the risk to the rescuers (injury, death, etc)!! And they should be fined the entire amount of the cost of rescuing them!

Good post about the evacuation wanda p. The Country blasted citizens from Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama for not leaving before Katrina hit. Maybe now some understand you just can't leave.
