My heart is so heavy for these families right now! Lord please wrap your arms around these families and bring them comfort and peace in this horrible tragedy!!! What is this world coming to that you could be so sick in the head to want to bring harm to another let alone innocent children! May those men both dead and alive experience the wrath of God and suffer eternally!

What is going on in our country? What will our officials do?! What's the plan of action our mentally ill in this country?!!! Something has got to be done, there is an epidemic and our children are at risk. My heart and prayers go out to these innocent families. The publicity given to these sick people is sad but I only hope it causes awareness that something needs to be done. A lockdown is not the answer an evaluation needs to be done of these eerily similar cases.

Praying for these babies Abe their families! The government should worry more about security than the nonsense they do take seriously! Bless all their hearts!

When the Majority of our Country Turns their back on God that allows Evil (Satan,The Devil) to destroy and devour as he pleases, even small children are at risk. A generation of Godly people are passing, and being replaced by a generation of Evil people with No Respect of Authority, Other People, or even something as Precious as a Child's Life. This IS the worst tragedy we have seen in the USA following 911 and possibly before. God is the answer to any individual's problems and the Problems of our Country. Turn your Back on God, He will Turn his Back on You.

No, Christian – God NEVER gives up on us! We all turn our backs on him from time to time and He never leaves us.

Maybe it would have not made any difference, but once again guns possession proved to be a people's right that should be at least regulated better. I never cried after reading the news before. Now I can't say it anymore.

Instead of our government spending millions on fighting for anti gun laws....our government should be spending millions on mental health benefits. The common thread is unstable humans.

How much more of this do we have to take, before PRAYER is allowed back in our schools. Our hearts go out to all the families of every child affected today. May God comfort all the families hearts and minds.

I've not seen any reports on any wounded children. Were all the victims killed and no injuries?

Has anybody checked out the facebook site for the shooter Adam Lanza he posted on facebook the following
"Mom I just wanted to take away the things you loved most...the way you took away my relationship with my dad. You should have never taken him away from my brother and I...

He also stated on his occupation that he is permenately unemployed 6 feet under.

This is is just tragic that we have all the resources out there and could not prevent this. Isn't there a red flag somewhere that would pop up when things like this are done. I pray for the families that lost there beloved child way too early and for unnecessary reasons

Gun control and mental health? Do you not believe that a former military, ex-cop should not be allowed to own a gun if he so chooses? This one just snapped.
Changing gun laws will not change anything, but turn the innocent people who use firearms responsibly into criminals for owning them.

As the world watches ANOTHER mass murder in America (there was one just a few days ago) one wonders why American people seem to be the only ones not getting what is NOT right in these incidents. Americans are so pro gun happy that most can go in a store an purchase guns. Crazy. The NRA us adamant that they will NOT tolerate a gun ban! We've all heard radio hosts on Fox News advocating for Americans to arm themselves. Well, this is the result of that!
The other thing that the News media should get is to STOP GLORIFYING THESE CRIMINALS. When y yoou post their Facebook pages, you do a full profile on them, this is what they intended to happen. That's why you have SO MANY COPYCATS! STOP GIVING THEIR NAMES. STOP GIVING THEIR PROFILES! REFER TO THEM AS THE SHOOTER, WHATEVER, but don't give recognition to them at all. They should be non-existent in the minds of the public. We don't need to know who they are and why they did what they did. That is for the invesitgators. America, you have to learn lessons from this. There will be more.

This is twenty-four hour news entertainment. We're not trying to solve the problem, just trying to maximize the ratings. Or don't you like the background music?

Cheryl, The BEST lesson that we (The United States) can get from these incidents is to allow all of our Law Abiding Citizens to exercise their 2nd Ammendment RIGHT to defend their families & themselves by carrying a concealed handgun. Taking guns away from U.S. citizens will leave only the criminals & the Police (or am I being redundant?) with weapons. Statistically, states who allow its citizens to be armed & carry LEGALLY have much lower gun related crimes. If one of the teachers or adults in the school was carrying, he/she might have ended this horror before it started. But, in this case, only the 'bad guy' was armed & in control. THAT is the definition of what Gun Control is, putting the 'bad guys' in control.

We allow the military to work hand in hand with Hollywood, and the game producers,
and choose to blame an object.
This blame game might work IF the gun was the only convenient course of destructive action,
and banishing it would rid us of the action as an effect.

Think of the 100's of hours American children spend shooting people in video games.
Video games and media desensitize us to the real thing. We have used these methods to desensitize soldiers, PTSD, phobias...
The mind opens to a state of self hypnosis, and rewards children for killing people with terms such as "GOOD JOB, EXCELLENT, NEXT LEVEL."

Why does it seem so easy to kill the Unions in this country but so difficult to kill the NRA?

I am a renewed subscriber and member of NRA, thank you, and have received my CCW license. At age 80+. Have waited too long. I say again: NRA member, CCW license holder. I pray God I may never have to use my new weapon, but don't try me, not with murders and stabbings occuring weekly in my little MO town.

My heart is breaking tonight, for the parents, teachers, friends & neighbors that survived today.. We mourn the loss of lives not yet lived.. But, the wounded need time to heal.. I believe us no better than the one who took them, if we push, poke and corner those who were allowed to walk away today... Let them breath, grieve and process ..... or the scares of this day, will be the ones we created....
I challenge our Media to take a step back and focus on what's Right ........... NOT what's popular... and ask themselves where their hearts would be tonight, if it was their child that died today... There is a time and a place for questions... Let water cool down, before you stick you hand in it... The Damage is Done... Don't make it worse... There is a Right way and a Wrong way to do everything.. You have a chance to do the Right thing......... Walk away... Let them rest and heal..... or the ripples being created, could last a lifetime..
