This is 'This Just In'

You're reading "This Just In," CNN's new news blog.

You’ll find all the breaking news of the day here, from big stories like earthquakes and elections to interesting notes on the naming of the world’s richest man and Charlie Sheen’s return to his sitcom.

There’ll be posts from yours truly and the staff of CNN at large to give you the latest from the CNN Wire, plus the scoops and interviews and insight that make this a really fun and interesting place to be. You’ll know when we have live streams of events and videos of news can be posted within minutes of them coming in. Whatever confirmed information we're hearing and reporting is what you'll be reading and watching.

We aim to look far and wide at what you and the rest of the Web community are interested in and talking about with features like Web Pulse - which takes a look at the collective conversation of the internet according to Google trends, Twitter, etc. This is also the place to find out who the day’s Most Intriguing People are and there’s easy access to our Twitter account @cnnbrk.

We are essentially in "beta mode" right now, so this is a great time to let us know what you think. You can comment on every post, so get to it.

Gotta go now, news is breaking.

I've noticed that I'm having problems connecting to When I visit it tells me that twitter and hotmail have recently been experiencing service disruptions as well. I know quite a few people who have skyped to me about problems with facebook.

It would be interesting to know how widespread these service disruptions are.

    Dear CNN,
On this new "This Just In" News Blog, will you be posting any news worthy news or will you just post the usual stories about dirtbag celebrities and other useless stories that no one cares about? Or will you go with the occasional semi news story that is incomplete and/or outdated? Just wondering.

Regarding the rescue of the Chilean a world full of hate, war, bigotry, human rights violatons, crime and abuse, isn't it amazing and empwering to see what good mankind can do and how we are all capable of hope, goodwill, teamwork and faith in one another. It is nice to be reminded of mankind's potential.

RE: TIGER WOODS Come on this is getting so old he didnt kill anyone let it go already people getting sick of hering about him. Listen people there are more important things in ths world to put our thoughts & energy into why dont we all try to do something to make a difference in this world with this Bloging. Dont get me wrong its ok to make a comment on stuff like him but this happened how long ago. Let him live his life. Why dont you all blog about how the goverment needs to hire more Child Protective Service People . So things like what happened to the poor little girl ZARA BAKER could of been here today and living with a good loving family instead of being dismembered by her family when chil pro services should of been doing there job. Oh and do for Jessie Dugard. And all the other children being abused and kept hostage of killed.
