Greek bailout - European leaders have approved an emergency bailout plan that could be used to rescue the Greek economy and keep its financial crisis from spreading across the continent.
Venezuela arrest - The president of a Venezuelan TV station that has been critical of leftist President Hugo Chavez was arrested Thursday on charges that he abused his right to free speech, then was released after a two-hour hearing.
Web charge - News International has announced plans to charge for access to British newspapers The Times and The Sunday Times Web sites, starting in June.
Pakistan fighting - A pre-dawn attack in Pakistan's tribal area killed five Pakistani soldiers and 21 suspected militants, the military says.
