Well, I read the indictment. If we find to be true all of the accusations, they deserve to be arrested. I am all for arming yourself, and making prepartations for the purposes of defense. But these people were planning to kill law enforecment people just start a war. I am also for freedom of speech. There are ways to change what you don't like about this country that don't involve planned attacks. Has anyone ever heard a manifesto from these people? What is their beef? I am sure there must have been a reason for them to plan this, but I am not aware. If they wanted to start a revolution, what were they revolting against? Terrorists.... no. Planning to commit a crime... yes (If the indictment holds)

FYI, the definition of terrorism is using an act of violence to change political policy.

the calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain "goals that are political or religious..."

These folks rise to the definition of terrorism for me. Ditto for the whack job that flew a plane into the IRS building.

I guess the founders of our country and the fighters of the revolutionary war were terrorists too! Our current government is out of control with bad personal and professional decisions among the senate and house members. I was not surprised at this article. The founders of our nation would be disgusted at the amount of control our government has over its people and the amount of taxes people have to pay as well as the ridiculous amount of spending on non-essential programs.

Roughly five years ago "The U.S. Patriots" held a rally near Mendon, OH. It was no small operation. Everyone drove came-colored dated pick-up and vans. They had all the right war paintto make themselves appear mean. Today's news is not new.

Janet Napolitano was correct. She has been vindicated. The DHS report for which she got so much criticism by far conservatives was initiated by the Bush administration and by the Pentagon.

To the first poster - maybe the fact that they never actually did anything wrong, and are probably just being tried because they oppose the current marxist administration?

Amazing how muslims never apologize for the actions of muslim terrorists, and try to create false equivalencies with other groups.

attempted use of weapons of mass destruction? teaching use of explosive materials? no crime was commited but we will try to use a figurative interpretation of the laws and see if popular opinion will override the laws. If the figurative versus literal interpretation of the laws dont work.....then we will create more vague laws so that we can pick and choose people and their innocense based on our own need to feel in control, in power, popular, patriot, or as retribution for our birthright or those of our ancestors. (i was born of a different ethnicity so i have a right and entitlement to create my own laws, and get special treatments..and handouts.)

Wow, we can actually find the real terrorists WITHOUT water boarding anyone. Hmmm.... are these threats to our society going to be sent to GITMO ? I doubt it. No matter how dangerous they are they are white christians, and everyone knows that means they will be handled better than those dirty brown muslims.

Bet you these good "christian" folk are part of the tea bag movement! We should call these "militias" what they are-gangs. The only difference is that they don't sell dope on the corner, they just sell hate–very christian-like of course and are bent on overthrowing the government. Im sure Jesus would carry an assault rifle! If they hate America so much, why don't they just leave and go to Canada! Leave America to those who built and love this country and not those who want to destroy it!

Uh Jennifer, when the so called founding fathers fought, they fought against a monarchy! The last time, I looked we live under a Democracy. Just because the teabaggers and the republicans lost this time around doesn't mean its time we use militias to take over the government–that sound third world? We got elections in this country. If you don't like your government then vote them out! The problem for people like you and the good christian militia folks is that you cant convince the majority of Americans that your idea of America is some place we all want to live.

I agree with Freedom, these people are traitors and should be put to death!

A terrorist is still a terrorist, regardless of their religion, and as such the govt should join ranks and condemn this Uterine organization..... not wait until it kills someone of high profile
