Chicago is going crazy it will be the murder capital before the summer is over if the police don't beef up their presence on the street when 911 is dialed there should be an officer present in no less than 10 minutes I've seen where they've taken up to 30 min to arrive by then the damage has been done.

911 is america's answer to dial-a-prayer. as for me, where i live i legally conceal and carry to protect me and my own. i do not do business with any business than bans me from carrying.

The Children are innocents and yet every day they are subject to even more of the tragic and unexplainable suffering in life.

It has never been easy for children, as they are vulnerable, unable to protect themselves without adult guidance and assistance. In society, only recently, have children had a modicum of protection.

We see in repeated acts of barbarism, children being conscripted into war, sold into slavery, forced to work in a global network of sexual servitude.

This thing we call human, be it race , civilization, or accident of the primordial soup, has some very dark and cruel characteristics defining it's behavior.

Children deserve better from adults, they always have. Why they are still denied the safety and protection the natural law would recommend, is a question I cannot even fathom.

Good thing Chicago has the tightest gun control in the nation, along with the highest gun violence. Makes your liberal head spin, doesn't it ?

Too bad the adults who were killed did not even have a chance to defend themselves. The ownership of a gun is banned where this happened. It's a very short article, but it seems like the people who did this had the intention of killing these people and did not have the intention of robbing them. Regardless, gun bans only help criminals ensure that they can feel confident killing or robbing people in a certain area because they know their victims will not put up a fight.

TOM This has NOTHING to do with Obama, you just show your ignorance!

Violence in Chicago and Oakland California has been rising like crazy, these are people with nothing to lose and can care the F LESS who they kill! This has been going on for years and to make things worse is Lawyers who think the criminals have far more rights then the law abiding and the poor defenseless children have! We gave all these states money from Homeland Security and we go after terrorist in other countries! I have ONE QUESTION! What the difference between a road side bomb and a drive by shooting??? NOT A DAMN THING I ASSURE YOU FROM ONE WHO HAS SEEN ONE! So really our Congress and our Senate needs to get off their Butts and make this a issue instead of a lot of BS! We have a WAR at home we don't seem to have money to fight and going after terrorists in other countries make Vietnam a repeat! I am not getting rid of my guns as long as there is people in power in states who lay off police and put gun laws on us! I lived in a educated house, and respectable home and we were poor! The ones doing the stealing and killing are not just one race! Please get your facts straight!

I suspect it's domestic violence-related. I trust CHI has some good victim (to victor) assistance programs of which ALL affected can make use: It Takes a Village, not only to raise a child, but to Live a High Quality Life!

We need to get police on every corner of the city. why do you see police always moving but never staying put when there are people causing trouble. Remember the police wont have a job if there no crime so who side are they really on. may god bless all the families this summer and lets work to stop the crime and live life to the fullest
