Sailor not guilty of Iraq charges

A military jury found U.S. Navy Petty Officer First Class Julio Huertas not guilty of all charges, a military spokesman said Thursday.

This verdict came during a court-martial where Huertas was accused of charges in connection with the mistreatment of a detainee.

Huertas and two other Navy SEALs - Petty Officer 2nd Class Jonathan Keefe and Petty Officer 2nd Class Matthew McCabe - were accused of assaulting a detained Iraqi.

All the best to PO1 Huertos, PO2 Keefe & PO2 McCabe for their much deserved acquittal. The fact that they were even charged is a travesty. I only hope that after all of the press coverage and resulting publicity they are able to return to their respective teams. These are the very best that America has to offer. May God bless you and all of the warriors that put their lives on the line daily so that we may enjoy the rights and freedoms that unfortunately we often take for granted.
