American dies in Iraq

A U.S. Department of Defense employee has died in Iraq of unknown causes, the U.S. military reported Saturday.

The employee worked as a non-combatant for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, the military said. The employee's name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

AAFES is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and provides merchandise and services to military families.

    My condolences to this person and their family. My husband is in the Air Force and the employees of AAFES on our base are always polite and very helpful!!!
