Indonesia jolted by earthquake

An earthquake that struck Indonesia on Saturday was downgraded to a magnitude 6.0, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake, which was initially reported as magnitude 6.1, was centered in the Obi islands, a group of islands in the Indonesian province of Maluku.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. The quake struck at 4:41 p.m. local time and was about 33 miles (53.4 kilometers) deep.

The quake had not triggered a tsunami warning, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

Good grief, people, the Pacific plate is just on the move, and it will settle back down again.

Fear not. Earthquakes are good for business now. Just ask Haiti. Indonesia, your cheque is in the mail.

I thing that no one really knows what the truth is but a couple of people in high places ! Everyone else is guessing ! I like the Harrp guess ! It could be the rocket that we just lanched a couple of days ago (USAF) or Pole Shift ! 1945 we found out the pole had shifted 150 miles away from where it suppose to be (Google it) Solar Flair ) Google it ! Just had a very large one the day of the China earthquake ! The Big Collider is a good guest !! I like Gods return I am a beliver !! NASA Says we have a hole Twice the size of Ny york !!! (Google it) All these things could be working together ! We all need to pray for our planet !!! God Bless, Robert, Los Angeles

I would hardly call this news. Indonesia has 6 pointers every week. 30% of the worlds active volcanoes are in this region. Go have a look at the USGS website.

These earthquakes clearly point to the return of Christ! Or is it Xenu?! Or Count Dracula. Same difference.

an increase in seismic activity would not be the only fulfillment of jesus' statement "earthquakes in one place after another". Rather a general awareness of the events through
rapid 'news cycles' and access to available information that is nearly universal and instantaneous, This is a unique time to be living.

Are you kidding? Hopefully some of these earthquakes shake up the religious nuts in here. Seriously, when you come out and say how this is Go'd doing, you are just showing how ignorant you are. You are a lemming of a book and a dood that lived a normal life years ago. Please get real, religion is a way to make you feel better about yourself because of a higher power. It means you are a weak person, get a life.

Why is everyone in this country so ignorant? We need more people like Ryan C. Or, I suppose, people like Ryan (who have common sense) don't spend time on bulletin boards because of a common 6.0 earthquake. It's the rapture...barf. It's the particle accelerator...ya right. It's all the oil we're pumping out...don't think so. get a clue people

These things aren't happening with anymore frequency than before, its not due to the Large Hadron Collider, its not to to man caused events, and its probable not due to Christ's return. When those earthquakes occur, you'll know. As far as I am concerned, these are at no greater frequency than any other year where modern seismic equipment has been available on a global scale. This is just CNN reporting on something that is during our heightened awareness of these events. Remember, there is an average of 130-150 6.0 or greater each year. That means 2 to 3 per week! Think about it, let it soak in, this is normal, lets move on PLEASE!

CNN, please stop putting 6.0 earthquakes as front page news. You are clearly aware that these on average happen once every 2 days somewhere on the planet, it is irresponsible to continue printing these stories when the majority of your viewers do not know that.

End times? Ridiculous. The people saying this never lived in a seismic zone. Go live somehwere in the ring of fire and you'll see how frequent earthquakes really are.
And Josh, every time is the end times if you ask the current generation. Give me a break.

Christians we don't need to beat around the bush anymore. These people see exactly what's happening. They just choose to be blind because they don't want to accept it. Well let them. I could give 2 figs less whether they believe it or not. But when something real strange happens, let these idiots try to find yet ANOTHER excuse for it. Ugh. It makes me so sick. The comments are always the same. Another earthquake strikes, Christians quote the scripture for you ignoramuses and then somebody says "Look people. These earthquakes are COMPLETELY NORMAL.." Must be an idiot or living under a rock!!
