Mexico issues advisory for Arizona

Mexico's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday issued an advisory to Mexicans living and working in Arizona following the signing of a controversial law to stem illegal immigration in that state.

In Arizona "there is a negative political environment for migrant communities and for all Mexican visitors," the advisory states.

The new law requires Arizona police to determine whether people are in the United States legally if there is a reason to suspect they aren't.

Although the new law doesn't go into effect until 90 days after the close of the state's legislative session, the Mexican government advised its citizens in Arizona to begin carrying all immigration documents with them immediately "to avoid needless confrontations."

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, a Republican, signed the controversial legislation into law Friday. Supporters say it is needed to control illegal immigration.

The advisory points Mexicans in Arizona to the state's five Mexican consulates for legal advice if they feel they have been subjected to abuse by authorities.

"As long as no clear criteria are defined for when, where and who the authorities will inspect, it must be assumed that every Mexican citizen may be harassed and questioned without further cause at any time," the advisory states.

America is the land of the free, not land of the freeloaders.what ever happened to the humble immigrants?its like finding someone who has broken into your home demanding everything you own and the police are against you.i feel our government is not ours anymore.we must make a stand.vote them out.and most of our news reporting media only give one side of the story.not the truth about 70% of Americans are for this new state law.

Mexicans here and in Mexico are rather upset by the recent enactment of stricter anti-illegal alien laws by Arizona's governor.
In light of the following, that position demonstrates the typical double standard used by race-hustlers and assorted something-for-nothings.

New Immigration Laws: Read to the bottom or you will miss the message...
1 There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools.
    2. All ballots will be in this nation's language.
    3. All government business will be conducted in our language.

    4. Non-residents will NOT have the right to vote no matter how long they are here.
    5. Non-citizens will NEVER be able to hold political office
6 Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs. Any burden will be deported.
    7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount at least equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.
    8. If foreigners come here and buy land... options will be restricted. Certain parcels including waterfront property are reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.
9.. Foreigners may have no protests; no demonstrations, no waving of a foreign flag, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our president or his policies. These will lead to deportation.
    10. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be actively hunted &, when caught, sent to jail until your deportation can be arranged. All assets will be taken from you.
    Too strict?......
The above laws are the current immigration laws of MEXICO !!!
These sound fine to me, NOW, how can we get these laws to be America's immigration laws??
WAKE UP, AMERICA – we are about to lose our country.........
And now we are called Racists.

  4. The reason why many people have an issue with this law...

Hispanic and Dark skinned people are harassed everyday all over the country by the police.... this law now give the police a new reason to harass those around them. I guess you would have to be something other than white to understand this point of view. If you are white and would like to experience being harassed, go to Detroit and walk down the street.... better yet, go to the DMV... see how everyone stares at you and how uncomfortable it is.... maybe then you will understand what all the fuss is about.
