Manager: Bret Michaels' tour could resume in late May

Bret Michaels' recovery from a brain hemorrhage suffered last week is going well enough that his concert tour could resume in a month, according to a statement on his website. The rock singer and reality TV star suffered a massive brain hemorrhage and was hospitalized Friday.

"Even though yesterday was a minor setback, doctors remain hopeful for a full recovery and plan to release more specific information next Monday," his road manager Janna Alias said in the statement.

Tuesday's statement from Elias disclosed Michaels suffered "a side effect from the brain hemorrhage called hyponatremia, a lack of sodium in the body which leads to seizures." Doctors still have not pinpointed the "exact cause of the rupture" in Michaels' brain, she said.

"He is responding well to tests and treatments," Elias said.

Michaels, 47, was the lead singer for the '80s glam-metal "hair band" Poison. He became a reality star by headlining the VH1 show "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels." He has also appeared on "Celebrity Apprentice."

"At this time we are planning to resume the tour May 26th in Ft. Smith, Arkansas provided there are no further complications or setbacks," Elias wrote.

I didn't read all the posts because there are so many. It seems we all agree that this is absolutely insane to expect him to resume a tour. Yeah, it would make for record ticket sales to see him make a "come back" from all he has been through in recent weeks. However, it is not healthy & it could really kill him. Going on tour & performing nearly every night is straining enough. To do that while trying to recuperate from a major surgery & a critical hemmorage is just insane. Forget the almighty dollar & take a year off! Hopefully, the tour manager will get his head out of his ass & realize that touring anytime soon is not in Bret's best interest. Hopefully, when Bret is able to voice his opinion, he'll agree with all of us.

Hopefully Bret has more sense to realize that his life could have been over and is given a second chance at a normal life, we all know that a hemmorage can lead to several complications later ... So why push the Tour, let him rest and resume when he's 100% better...Be grafeful for the life you have been given a second time around.. not many out there can say the same... Fame and money will be there when you recover Bret... Take care of yourself first..... 🙂 Get well soon Bret!

Bret's need to recover and be well for his daughter and family should be the only comment his rat-bastard manager said – he should have cancelled any remaining shows on the tour because I'm pretty confident no one wants to see a man on stage drop dead because "the show must go on" – ridiculous and down right wrong!

SHAME ON YOU JANNA ALIAS OR WHATEVER YOUR NAME REALLY IS – YOU MONEY HUNGRY BITCH!

I hope Bret Michaels dies. He is the least talented musician ever, I don't even like calling him a musician. Why don't you take off your hair extensions and cowboy and start going down on guys because we all know you are really gay deep down inside. Poison was the biggest Motley Crue rip off ever and all of their music sucked ass. Anybody out there who likes his music maybe you should start listening to real music like Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Beatles, or The Rolling Stones.
