Nine people were killed Friday night when a suspected U.S. drone struck in Pakistan's North Waziristan near the border with Afghanistan, two local officials said.
The dead consisted of two children, two women and five men, Pakistani intelligence and administrative officials said.
The U.S. military routinely offers no comment on reported drone attacks. However, it is the only country operating in the region known to have the ability to launch missiles from drones, which are controlled remotely.

For those who did not investigate what was going on when we use the drone to kill terorist(s) then jump to conclusion that we kill innocent people. Those who jump to conclusion are so stupid and dump. For example, the terrorists will always claim those killed are innocents so the terrorist will get sympathy from dump and stupid people to trigger the civil war and that is terrorist 's tactic. Do not ever forget 9\11 people, train bomed in Spain, UK.... and our soldiers who burn and dragged down street on Bagda street. Those are incidents that I remenber at a moment now. We are The USA. The UN or human rights like to get on our back. I Do not hear anything from UN or human rights have said about incidents innocents people killed in Iraq couple days ago. Moreover, problem in South Korea sailors were killed. From my opinion and research, The UN and Human right just like to critize the countries which play by the rules only. In another word, the UN and human rights try to bully us mentally. Let wait and see how the Russian and the Chinese Goverment react to forty six sailors who died. Also everybody need to realise that Pakistan has suffered badly due to these terrorists as well. We gave shelter to 10Million Afghan refugees and now INDIA is funding bad elements to destabilize Pakistan.

Couple of things to add to the article. We also attacked the lawless tribal area along the border again Saturday. The Taliban took a few men out of a crowd, strapped explosives to them and blew them up in front of their families and the crowd gathered. Anyone who blieves innocent women and children are killed in these attacks are smoking funny weed becuase it's a crock. Unless they are living in the terrorist compounds of the targeted terrorists.

Moreover. I want to say more to people who jump in conclusion. You have to do some research about men and women in Afganistan how many percent of the whole country know how to read and write. That percent will indicate how many people can really analyze and gather the facts. The reason I mention China, Russia goverment because I had live with them all of my life before I escaped. They will jail whoever listen to the new outside the country such as BBC, ABC....I remenber my father have to turn the volumn of the radio so low and will not let me hear because my father scared if I will tell people on the street. we will all go to jail. The way I see it, is we had good reason to go ahead with this strike. Intel in the Army is not a sure thing, but I'm sure in the end, more good will come of this than bad. And for the record, I'm a liberal, but have full trust in the government and military. How hard is it to be proud of your country, no matter your political affiliation?

No! Because 9/11 was the symptom not the cause. The cause was our blind support for Israel which is occupying parts of Palestine, the permanent stationing of our troops in the Middle East even after the first Gulf war was over and finally financially abandoning the Afghan people after they fought and defeated the Soviets.
