IDF: Hamas stops flotilla aid delivered by Israel

Israel has attempted to deliver humanitarian aid from an international flotilla to Gaza, but Hamas - which controls the territory - has refused to accept the cargo, the Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday.

Palestinian sources said trucks that arrived from Israel at the Rafah terminal at the Israel-Gaza border were barred from delivering the aid over protests that members of the flotilla were not delivering the materials.

Israel had 20 trucks of aid found on the ships, such as expired medications, clothing, blankets, some medical equipment and toys.

Nine people died on Monday when Israel intercepted an aid vessel bound
for Gaza.

Under Israeli policy, humanitarian aid must come through Israel and be
checked by Israeli authorities who are looking to intercept smuggled weapons bound for militants aiming to attack Israel.

As part of this policy Israel forbids ships from dropping off goods at
Gaza ports and works to thwart smuggling via tunnels between Gaza and Egypt.

    • Do we really ?

Are the Israeli's really so innocent ? If so, why have they been in the middle of a crap storm since the days of Abraham ? Not the wrong doers ? Now don't get me wrong, I realize there are always at least three sides to any given story, but nine dead bodies on one side of the story might suggest the Israeli's were a tad bit in the wrong.

Know one in a right state of mind, spills Turkish blood what ever the reason is, Israel was dumb to do so. In a better state of mind Israel has reacted very quick tot the ultimatum of foreign minister Davutoglu, to release all imprisoned Turkish citizens in 24 hours. Because Israel knows that Turks are no Arabs and they will defend their citizens by all necessary means.

Turks in general don not care much about the Arab Israeli conflict, because at the end of the Ottoman area the Arabs betrayed the Turks by choosing side with the European invaders. Personally I regret that we have had to entered the arena, but now things are not gone be the same as in the past. The los of the lives of fellow Turkish citizens for a better treatment of the Palestine in the Gaza strip has made this issue a top priority of the Turkish Nation. In my opinion Israel will very soon lift the sanctions on the Gaze strip and will work harder for the peace process, under pressure of the Turks.

Those Who Bless Israel Will Be Blessed, and Those Who Curse Israel Will Be Cursed
In the Book of Genesis, Chapter 12, Verse 1-3, we see what God says about His response to how people treat Israel:
And I will bless those that bless you and curse the one who curses you. And in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.
In the Book of Numbers, where the Bible is telling us about the Nation of Israel that God delivers out of bondage in Egypt, it tells us:
He crouched. He lay down as a lion, and as a great lion. Who shall stir him up? Blessed is he who blesses you, and cursed is he who curses you.

Israel embargoes the material shipped into Gaza because those peace-loving humanitarians of Hamas keep trying to get bigger, better, and more-destructive weaponry to use against Israel. Israel is absolutely justified in refusing to let uninspected goods enter Gaza; they have an obligation to keep rockets & grenade launchers away from these terrorists, who repeatedly and continually target Israeli citizens.

If this "humanitarian flotilla" was REALLY focused on getting aid into Gaza, they would have gone to the port of Ashdod as Israel requested, allowed Israel to inspect the shipment, and everything that wasn't contraband would have been trucked into Gaza with the other aid convoys that go there daily. They chose to attempt to run the blockade instead, knowing that Israel would stop their ships; and when the Israelis did stop and board them, these peace-loving humanitarians attacked the soldiers and got their 15 minutes of fame (and a whole lot of free anti-Israeli propaganda).

This flotilla consisted of 5 boatloads of "liberal fools and Leftist tools"; plus one boatload of terrorists posing as humanitarians. Israel was justified in their response, but the fools and tools of the world will remain too brainwashed to ever acknowledge it– unless/ until they themselves are aboard the next Achille Lauro (look it up - that was the poor, pitiful, Palestinians, too. So was the 1972 Olympics' massacre in Munich.)

This situation is being "made" complicated by pro Israeli elements because of the nature of its injustice and UNfairness. The simple matter is that Israeli government with the push/support of radicals in US is imposing its policies on over a million refugees to accommodate US middle east policy and satisfy influential leaders of the Jewish folks.
Question is, why is Israel in a situation where it has to blockade aide to over a million refugees. And why is no other country in need of boarding aid carrying ships with human rights activists on board and killing 9 of them, except Israel.

Because a handful of those "refugees" are terrorists that continue to attack Israeli civilians. Thus the Israelis want to stop the the terrorists from getting weapons & war material. Thus they blockade Gaza and inspect shipments to try to filter out weapons & war material. Now, I also think the Israelis tends to be heavy-handed and use group-punishment in its responses, which fuel resentment in these refugees, helping the terrorist recruit more terrorists. Its a cyclic system that feeds itself, and probably won't get any better until the Palestinians get a government that loves them more than it hates Israel.

So are you claiming the writer is mistaken, and that Hamas accepted that aid? If so, please direct us to your source(s) so we can see for ourselves.

MAZ, you're pretty funny. The flotilla was in international waters and Israel had no right to stop it. I defy you to provide one link that says it was Israeli waters. The UN high commisioner of human rights has declared the blockade of Gaza illegal but all attempts to have it lifted have been vetoed by the US. It is an illegal blockade and amounts to collective punishment of civilians. The European ship was fired on and three injured. The Turkish ship was fired on before the 'commandoes' ever landed on board according to those that were there. The vid being played ad nauseum by all the major news outlets is not even of the Mavi Marmara. The pic they posted at Haaretz of the Muslim holding a knife was taken in daylight. Yes all aid into Gaza must be inspected by Israel, most of it ends up in Israeli pockets. Israel collects all taxes in Gaza, all foreign aid sent to Gaza, and keeps it. Do your homeworl, Shill.
