Joran van der Sloot was a suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway
Joran van der Sloot, the Dutch man once considered a suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway, is the suspect in the killing of a woman in Peru, Peruvian police officials said Wednesday.
There is "incriminating evidence" linking Van der Sloot to the killing of 21-year-old Stephany Flores Ramirez, who was found dead in a Lima hotel room Wednesday, Cesar Guardia Vasquez, of the criminal investigations unit said at a news conference.
The hotel room where Flores was found was registered in Van der Sloot's name, he said.
A hotel guest and an employee witnessed the pair entering the hotel room together at 5 a.m. on Sunday, Guardia said.
Police have video of the previous night, May 29, of Van de Sloot and Flores together at the Atlantic City Casino in Lima, he said.
According to immigration officials, Van de Sloot fled to Chile over land on Monday, Guardia said.

This isn't only his second victim. I bet there are a dozen young woman lying in remote graves or became shark food. It would be too coincidental for him to be suspected in one and caught red-handed in another murder and that be all there is to it. He is a serial liller. As posted above...there are more than one definition of karma. Traditionally, it is used in a context where one pays in the future for a single past transgression, however, a second meaning is simply "fate or destiny". This guy repeats his crime and it catches up to him, hopefully, in a very unforgiving state. You can only really serve one sentence for murder, be that one murder, two murders, or more. It has caught up with him and his destiny is to pay for all of his transgressions hopefully in a very definitive manner. That is his fate or destiny.

Yes, Peru DOES have the death penalty as follows;
Peru signed the “Pact of San Jose, Costa Rica” back in 1979, which is part of the American convention on Human Rights. By signing this pact, Peru is limited to allowing the death penalty only for instances of crimes of terrorism or treason during war times.
Unfortunately, van der Sloot won't fall under either of these and so will spend the next 35 years (a life sentence in Peru) in jail for this crime.

This comment, much like the 'karma' comments, makes no sense. Strange, unforseeable trouble didn't befall this dude. Here's an example of Karma – Vanderstooge kills someone and gets away with it. Later, Vanderstooge's car flips over in the desert and some coyotes eat him. Karma. Nothing has "come full circle as of yet." Nothing bad has happened to this kid. He killed someone. Now he's killed two people and has yet to suffer any consequences. Even if they find and arrest him, that's not karmic retribution for his first murder, it's simply the logical consequence of an entirely separate wrong more recently perpetrated.
