Peru cops: Holloway suspect van der Sloot wanted for murder again

Joran van der Sloot was a suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway

FULL STORY

Joran van der Sloot, the Dutch man once considered a suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway, is the suspect in the killing of a woman in Peru, Peruvian police officials said Wednesday.

There is "incriminating evidence" linking Van der Sloot to the killing of 21-year-old Stephany Flores Ramirez, who was found dead in a Lima hotel room Wednesday, Cesar Guardia Vasquez, of the criminal investigations unit said at a news conference.

The hotel room where Flores was found was registered in Van der Sloot's name, he said.

A hotel guest and an employee witnessed the pair entering the hotel room together at 5 a.m. on Sunday, Guardia said.

Police have video of the previous night, May 29, of Van de Sloot and Flores together at the Atlantic City Casino in Lima, he said.

According to immigration officials, Van de Sloot fled to Chile over land on Monday, Guardia said.

That's a shame. Hopefully this time he is convicted of murder and spends the rest of his life in a Peruvian prison. I hear they are nice.

The Peruvian prison would be even nicer for him with a completely deranged psychopathic cellmate.

Time in a Peruvian prison is too good for this guy. First he needs to fess up, then fess up to Natalee Holloway's murder – and show the location of the body, then he needs to be executed by whatever means necessary. This is a creep that has a thing for murder...and he can't have Daddy bail him out again.

Hopefully this could, eventually, lead to him confessing the real truth about what happened to Ms Holloway.

That's what I was thinking. He might plea bargain, but not sure if that works via two different countries. He may be SOL.

i hope you're right. like someone else said, Peru does not depend on tourist dollars as much as Aruba does. Most of Peru is too dangerous to visit alone, so tourism isn't huge there. He may finally get a fair trial. i hope they hang him.

He did confess to the murder of Natalie, it was via an undercover camera in a car. They showed the video on TV. But when police questioned him about his confession he said he only confessed a lie to impress the guy who was secretly videotaping him. What a little punk! I hope Karma comes quickly for his pathetic self and he gets all he deserves!!! The court system of Aruba should feel blood on their hands for this one!

Actually Peru's economy does rely heavily on tourism and most of the country is very tourist-friendly. The difference in this case is that his dad isn't a high-ranking official in the Peruvian government (not to mention he's dead) so there won't be anyone buying his freedom this time.

You're right, reply to me, Peru depends heavily on tourism. They have nice beaches, jungle cities, Machu Picchu, Nazca lines....an incredibly beautiful country!

Not karma. If HE had been murdered, that would be karma. He just killed again. This is tragic.

He got away with murder once so he feels empowered. Let's hope they get him this time. He needs to be put away.

Put this lunatic behind bars! He has admitted killing natalee holloway not once...but twice! Now this? What's it gonna take to show authorities he is a murderer! It took another woman dying to make him a suspect again when he's guilty in the first place!!

He knows the killer's father is dead, that's why he said he can't bail him out now.

no... some other druggie dweeb would have probably done her in eventually ... she obviously was not of sound judgement to be so careless with a stranger.... no doubt there is foul play at hand, but making all these assumptions is simply not going to reveal what happened...
