I'm originally from PR. Tornados do hit the west coast of PR although not as often as "Tornado Alley" in USA. It has nothing to do with Obama being in the White House (for Letrole's information). Usually damages are minimal since construction in PR is basically cement blocks and steel (at least we got that right, something we should consider in Florida), but occasinally you'll see some roof (old zinc roof types) torn apart here and there. Death toll has always being small, if non existant in this events (tornados).

Cesar, news should be clear and concise. Otherwise what's the point? Spreading inaccurate information as spreading rumors. And you can see how it jumps into political agendas in the above comments. I also checked with the Nat Weather Service site and they do state that waterspouts are SIMILAR to tornados, but may rise in calm weather and not be the result of atmospheric clash of fronts like tornados are. They use the same intensity scale to measure them up.

All my wife and I can say is that this was an act of God. However He is a merciful God. Why would we say this? We say this because the three people in this car who were injured are my wife's sister, our brother-in-law and nephew. We thank God that they were not more seriously injured. God bless and be with all people injured by this tornado.

CNN SHOULD BE ASHAMED IN THEIR PROCESS OF IMPORTANCE, INVESTIGATION AND CONFRIMING THE RIGHT STORY REGARDING THIS DISASTER IN MAYAGUEZ. CONGRATS TO MR. ACOSTA & MR.papotatuman
IN SAYING IT HOW IT IS. CNN SHOULD TALK TO IOC TO GET TRAINED IN THE IMPORTANCE OF THE GAMES & THE ATMOSHPERICAL INTERVENTION THAT OCCURRED (not a tornado) PRIOR TO THE OPENING OF THE "CENTRO AMERICANOS" OLYMPIC GAMES. WHERE IS ANDERSON COOPER, SOLEDAD O'BRIEN & CNN LATINO AMERICA

Can't blame President Obama for this. This is due to the kkk, and nazi parties. In essence, the caucasian people are polluting the environment at an all-time high, due to the Bush regime, allowing them to pour out more, and more toxic waste into the environement. Hey, don't call me racist. Caucasians own ALL of the nuclear power plants, and ALL of the oil & gas industries, and ALL of the chemical, plants in the USA. They are who you need to blame, not blacks, or Obama.
