Lennon's killer denied parole for sixth time

Mark David Chapman is serving 20 years to life in prison for the December 8, 1980 murder of John Lennon.

Mark David Chapman, John Lennon's killer, was denied parole for the sixth time Tuesday, according to the New York State Division of Parole.

A three-member panel of the New York State Parole Board Commissioners conducted a video conference interview with Chapman from their offices in Rochester. Chapman's latest quest for freedom comes just months short of the 30th anniversary of the death of the former member of the Beatles.

Such a shame. Three dangerous Beatles running loose, and they continue to jail the only man willing and capable of ridding us of this Beatle scourge.

Mark is a murder and his intentions for why he committed his horable crime is sick! Lennon was more then just an icon, he was an idoliest and more important a man of peace. If there was more people like John and less people like Mark this world would be a much better place! I pray that Chapman dies a slow painfull death.

So you pray to your 'god' that a man dies a slow, painful death due to his previous actions? I'll assume you're a perfect, moral christian in that case. Did you even think before you typed that tripe into the comment box? How it makes you and your fellow believers look even if they don't want to be portrayed in that fashion? Did you? No, I imagine not.

As for MDC being released....well, let's just say if he killed someone less popular he'd be among us today.

Good. I hope he never gets out. I'm still angry for John, his family, and the world. Die in jail, monster.

Of course there not going to let him out of jail, people like you would riot on the streets and more people/hippies would be killed

John's killer should never get parole when America has a capital punishment law for murder if they did not put him on death row and were kind enough to incarcerate instead of exacute he should spend the remainder of his life in jail. Those laws are in place now but they were obviously not back when John was murdered and if he gets parole it would destroy the American ACJ legal system and destroy Julians and the lennons family life and leave all famous people at risk of being attacked by other perpetrators due to parole being given to there assassins

He can never be released, I'm sure even he realizes that. Even if he were to truely reform and become an asset to society... he'd get killed within a week of his release. The thing is, he didn't just kill a man; he killed an important part of an entire culture. It'd be like if some lunatic decided to blow up the grand canyon: he'd get off fairly Scott free in terms of goverment punishment, but people would never forgive him for harming their culture. Lennon was a part of world culture, and in this way Mark Chapmen's prison cell just as much protects him from the people of the world as it protects the people of the world from him.

Normally he would've been a free man for years, but he killed someone famous... I don't think 30 years is justified. The Free Mark David Chapman campaign should be starting now, he can't be refused parole in 2012, that'd be even worst!

The Beatles really are the greatest rock band ever , I totally agree AND even my 9 year old loves their music...

As for the psycho that killed John, it's a damn shame they didn't give his ass the death penalty, eye for an eye, life for a life...that is why we have so many nuts out of jail running around still, I personally think the death penalty is preferable to a life sentence or however long murderers get and MDC is lucky he lived this long in jail , I hope he freakin' rots there...screw parole– he dosen't deserve it.

Mark Chapman, I hate your guts. You are selfish and a Bozo. However we all know that you are a mental, retard and a f-ing Goof. one 30 years in prison, times up. You must be let free, this is our law and we stand by our law. I feel you are safer in jail and I would hate to run into you but you have done your time. Now enough of the crap, assh-le

MDC should never be released for any reason. I know that behind Yoko there are tons of concerned people that will make sure this monster rots in jail til the day he dies, then his soul will rot in hell forever. No compassionate release whatsoever period.

I want this humani to stay in prison until his is dead then i would like to see his body encased in cement in the foundation of the prison or at least burried on prison grounds. John would not want us to be violent, but i have read comments where people have threatened to do this humani violence. John would not want this. Chapman would be safer in prison. if he is burried outside prison grounds someone will defile his resting place and John would not like this either. I hope his spirit is trapped in the prison for all time. this humani is not worth soiling ones soul and i knw John would not want this from those who love him.
