Real estate mogul Donald Trump has offered to buy the lower Manhattan
site where a Muslim group plans to build an Islamic community center for 25
percent more than the current owners paid for it.
A letter obtained by CNN obtained from Donald Trump confirms his offer to purchase the site at 45 Park Place.

What a shocker–Donald Trump finds a way to get himself some more free publicity.
Great! So to get my way, all I need to do is:
1. threaten to burn a Koran in public, and make sure everybody knows about it. We can thank the media for spreading this spew. I think I was happier when they focused on Lindsay, Paris, and Brittney's pathetic lives.
2. The knee-jerk religious nutjobs go crazy with threats of retaliation not against my moronic self, but against EVERYBODY.

I understand that people are upset about ground zero. The fed builiding in Oklahoma should never have been rebuilt if you are trying to justify terrorism. U can't put all Muslims in one basket, grow up and move on to heal this nation. If Trump puts a hotel there will u be happy then??? U r trying to crucify all muslims for what some bad ones accomplished and still are at large.

Funny how this is such a National debate and people are holding Muslims to values they don't hold themselves to. Focus your energy on something positive, let them build their center and everyone move on. Last I checked, there is a Catholic church within 1 block of the Oklahoma City bombing site......McVeigh, an American terrorist, was raised Catholic. Just as he does not define the people of that faith, neither should the 9/11 terrorists. Keep it real.

Here's a novel idea, let's make it a multicultural center for people all faiths! It doesn't need to be Coporate America or an Islamic house of worship. Make it a place where people of all ethnicities/creeds can spend time comfortably with one another and actually learn to love one another. Or better yet, make it a memorial park instead of any type of building. I know NYC has an awfully large park to begin with, but some extra nature never hurt anyone.
You do realize that there's a culinary school, gym and pool on the lower parts of this "house of worship" and that the prayer centers are only on the top two floors of the thirteen floor building, right? Not to mention the fact that there are about twenty-something churches and synagogues across the street from the ACTUAL ground zero site, as well as a strip club that's closer than Cordoba House/Park51.
I agree. But people r too dogmatic. Everyone thinks he or she is right and everyone else is wrong. But all it is is perspectives. There's. Really no wrong or right here. It's more about compassion and sensitivity to the families of the victims.

Makes sense to me. They can then find another place in the general area but further from Ground Zero for their mosque, and go on with their lives quite happily for all I care.
