City officials issue correction in California fire death toll

The official death toll from a massive fire in San Bruno, California, stands at four, city officials said.

The city of San Bruno released a statement late Saturday saying that the most recent number was based on corrected information from the San Mateo County Coroner's office. Earlier Saturday, a statement from the city had said the death toll was seven, citing the police chief.

The fire started Thursday after a gas transmission line ruptured in the suburban San Francisco town.

I can assure you that the pipeline involved had internal corrosion. I have 30 years experence in high pressure gas pipelines and I know what these pipelines are capable of and the issues involved with keeping them performing correctly. If you want to learn what it takes to keep a pipeline working talk to a field hand that knows something, not some paper pushing so called "Expert".
