Italian authorities are investigating the Vatican Bank over possible violations of money laundering regulations, the Bank of Italy told CNN Tuesday.
Another Italian bank alerted Bank of Italy investigators to two Vatican Bank transactions that did not appear to comply with anti-money laundering requirements, the Bank of Italy said.
When Bank of Italy investigators told legal authorities about the transactions, they were told that judicial authorities were already investigating the Vatican Bank, the Bank of Italy said.
The Vatican said Tuesday it is "perplexed and baffled" by the public prosecutor's actions, and that the Holy See aims for "complete transparency" in its financial operations.
To.. Fort Worth ..
and you hate everything else but the church..what have you done today to save a fetus ...anyway another poster hit it pretty accurately with the Holy See..and Godfather 3..
@DW, if you really think about it, every religion is some form of cult organization. :p
i'm not knocking religion as a whole btw, i think its great that people can come together to share their beliefs.
i smell a mafia type movie based off of this in the making
kinda smells like moth balls
You are correct. : )
Religion is created by people and people are corrupt. Open ur eyes and believe in urself first, instead of blindly following organizations run by child molesters.
What about all of the religions not run by child molesters?
submit your donations -------> HERE. Thanks be to God. Amen. They train so easily. Like cattle.
Nothing's going to become of this!
Hmmm, I thought the Vatican was it's own country, how is the Italian govt involved ?
Anywhere there is large amounts of Cash, there will be Corruption ! It's Human Nature unfortunately. Most humans are sellfish hipocrits !
It appears that "la piovra" (not me) can hide behind a cassock. Certainly the RAI series of that name never presented priests as anything but good guys, and doubtless most of them are, but the wide-spead structure of the hierarchy, its opacity, and the wealth that it moves would make it a prime candidate for incorporation into the network, if that could be accomplished. At the same time, the Berlusconi regime is itself deeply inveigled in "corruzione", so I mistrust its motives. This should be interesting to watch.
All organized religion is all about money and nothingelse.
you can bet on that one , money tends to tip toe up behind you
why am I not surprised, if they can turn a blind eye to raping children, money laundering would nearly seem insignificant.
All organized religions are about money and nothing else..sad to see people following into their scam and lies.
Honestly from the Vatican would be a new concept and one the Vatican has avoided for hundreds of years. Why change the manner in which they do business? They have a very successful business model and if I were them I would stick to it.
I read the bible through once, it was a long time ago, but I don't remember at any time reading a passage where Jesus asked for money...............................if I'm mistaken please correct me. I have always been ready to discuss religion, or salvation, or morals with anyone, of any faith, at any time; but, if they ask for money, I close the door.
AND SO WHAT?....GO TO HELL PAGANS !!!
Nice try to stir up trouble but we know from your prior posts that you are a communist and don't believe in God.
We should invade and convert them all to Islam.
Good Luck!! I'd love to see that one.
