Construction restarts at West Bank settlement sites

New construction began at settlement sites in the West Bank Monday, just hours after the expiration of a 10-month Israeli government moratorium on building.

CNN witnessed new settlement construction in two locations in the West Bank.

Bulldozers and other construction equipment were used at the settlements of Revava and Ariel, and a steady flow of construction equipment and vehicles were transported on tractor trailers on West Bank highways connecting various settlements.

The new building casts a shadow over the continuation of face-to-face peace talks between Israelis and Palestinians that began this month.

It's funny that you're all talking about religion. Israel's leaders/founders were secular colonialists who ethnically cleansed Palestine and occupied 75% of the country, claimed most of the water, control all the borders, airspace, movement of goods/people, etc. Of course Israel will re-start their settlement building in the occupied West Bank. They know that even if it's illegal, once they're there, no one can ever remove them. Simply read about the ethnic cleansing of the land in 1948, and this issue becomes clearer.

Chris, you make sense to me. Earlier I posted blaming Jew's for the Israeli occupation of Palestine is like blaming Catholics for the US occupation of Iraq.. Israel thunbs it's nose at the laws we have on this planet. When other nations complain to the UN about Israel's illegal nuclear bombs, nothing is done. They don't even obey their own laws against forming alliances w/foreign nations May the "ghost" of Rachell Corrie disable your Caterpillar(tm) bulldozers forever Israel. And NO, the Mossad are NOT "God's little helpers" you morons.
