Scott Ashjian: Spoiler in the Nevada Senate race?

Sharron Angle was allegedly taped asking candidate Scott Ashjian to drop out of the race.

A secret audio tape is shaking up a close Senate race in Nevada, where House Majority Leader Harry Reid is running against Sharron Angle.

On a recording made by third party Tea Party candidate Scott Ashjian, Angle is on tape trying to persuade Ashjian to drop out of the race and throw his support behind her.

While Ashjian is no direct competition for Angle, according to the latest CNN polling, Ashjian is getting about 5 percent of the vote - enough to steal away votes from Sharron Angle and give Harry Reid just enough of a margin for a win.

But there are no signs Ashjian is heeding Angle’s plea. He told "American Morning" that “I understand the concern from her end. It really isn't my fault that the Republicans put up a candidate that was weak.”

In fact, Asjian said, “I don't see a difference between the Republican and the Democrat. I think politics in general is corrupt. I think both parties are corrupt.”

Tired of Sharron Angle. She's a mess. I don't want to trade a Senate Majority Leader for an already backroom dealing, power drunk before she even gets there liar.

    Harry Reid 2010!

Scott Ashjian has proven himself to be unscrupulous and a liar. He agreed to the meeting and to no recording devices. He reneged and secretly recorded the meeting. This man has no honor or integrity and is a lying SOB. He is just like any of the Harry Rieds in Washington. Anyone who votes for this clown will do nothing but insure Ried is sent back to Washington. Angle is no radical and I would prefer her to be a bit more conservitive, but she will fight against the current socialist agenda in the congress and the White House.
This whole thing smells of a plant by the Democrats. A last minute canidate to split the vote when it was becoming clear that Angle would likely win. It is a typical shameful tactic of the democrats

No problem here. Just political strategy among candidates. No way near the comparison with the congressional backroom vote-trading involved with passing ObamaCare.

    Hey Beafrank,

Care to site the supposed congressional backroom vote-trading deals? The so-called Nebraska kick-back was taken out of the legislation. Moreover, the vote-trading that you abhor happens every day. This is how the civil and voting rights legislation was passed.

Every time your congressional rep talks about the facilities or jobs that they have brought back to your district, she/he is essentially bragging about the vote-trading deal(s) they were able to make. Frankly this dust-up is a bit overblown. Sharon Angle simply is not fit for the Senate.

I hope you people are truly paying attention!
Carly fiorina sent 45,000 jobs to india in a corporation cost saving move,
What do you think she'll do in public office when she has to cut cost?(You think she will take a pay cut as part of doing her part?)(Or do you think she will come after the programs that the people need?
Do any of you wonder why 45,000 AMERICAN WORKERS lost their jobs to a foreign country while Ms. fiorina made off with 30million in cash and another 20million in company stock?
I use her ms fiorina as example because she and ms. Angle are sisters of the sorority of traveling pants!

Harry Reid is a crooked politician. First he didn't support Burris as being the senator for Illinois. Then he got calls from every black politician (including our president) in Washington and he changed his mind.
He is a vote buying manipulator who uses millions and millions of earmark dollars to stay in office.
Now he is done though, by ten points. People have had it with his BS and his support of the healthcare package. Full of written truths that contradict spoken words and are merely bribes by President Obama. Obamacare should be Obamascare.

But but, the wingnuts were screaming about someone from the Whitehouse asking the guy in PA to step aside. Just goes to show why our wingnut citizens like our wingnut politicians.........neither one has any scruples.

You people are a bunch of friggin' idiots or you're on Harry Reid's payroll. Angle pointed out that Ashcan can't possible win and can only be a spoiler in the race. There's NOTHING improper about that at all and ANY REASONABLE person already knows that. As a matter of fact your hero Dirtbag Reid agrees with Angle that Asjan can only be a spoiler, because HE'S BEEN CAUGHT CONTRIBUTING MONEY to Asjan's campaign. How do like THAT?

Just more of the same: We saw this in Florida with the Dems as well. The two main parties find being the better candidate the lesser issue as opposed to knocking out those that might "steal" votes from their hopeful. D or R, they're all the same.
