Judge orders military to stop enforcing don't ask, don't tell

A federal judge ordered that the U.S. military stop enforcing the don't ask, don't tell policy on Tuesday.

Judge Virginia Phillips ordered the military "immediately to suspend and discontinue any investigation, or discharge, separation, or other proceeding, that may have been commenced under the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"."

The judge had previously ruled that the policy regarding gays serving in the military violated service members Fifth Amendment rights but delayed issuing the injunction.

This judge just opened the door for the Gays to completely destroy Christmas and Thanks Giving to appease the gays and the suck up military will turn Christmas and Thanksgiving into Gay Fest. This ruling will also put gays in the states National Guards and become a threat to our children.
What is need is for States to succeed from the gay American to save our children and kill all judges and gays in order for the States to be GAY Free .
Fact their were no Gays at the founding of the USA and No Gays in the 1st US Army .

This judge needs to die if we are to be GAY FREE

I hope you're kidding. Otherwise, the FBI might be knocking on your door to check out your death threats.

Let the FBI storm those plotting to overthrow the white house with bogus ruling and federal marshalls. Let the FBI investigate the judges upsurping govt branches of powers to further gay agenda. Let the FBI investigate the militarypersons on the thread discussing insurrection in the military.

TwM... You said, if you were in the military, that you would not save a person who was gay. Interesting. I bet a gay person would try to save you. You are not a soldier. You are not a Christian. You are not an American. And frankly, you have no idea what being a real man is about.

The anti-moralists win again. When will they realize, laws are derived from morals, not the other way around?

they are allowed to have their "gay pride" parades and protests in peace, but when anyone says "straight pride" then all the sudden they are a "bigot" or a "right wing teabagger". This double standard just shows the hypocrisy that gays live by.

We're proud of the strides we have made over the years, you fool. And your comment definitely pins you as a bigot and right wing teabagger. Good job typecasting yourself.

Joe...you just proved my point that gays have absolutely no ability to logically justify their behavior, and that they live by a huge hypocritical philosophy. Thanks for that admission.

Again, this is going nowhere. Judges don't legislate. Expect a reprimand of this activist, unelected legislator from the appeals circuit.

on a serious note, you know if gays serve openly then they will be the target of numerous friendly fire incidents. This DADT policy actually protects them to an extent. I'm all for them serving openly so that the other soldiers know exactly what tent to throw the friendly fire grenade into.

@ jdoggers: I'd gladly throw a grenade into your tent. Consider it a personal favor to the rest of the world.

Joe...don't worry, you are a weak panzie. You know if I ever met you face to face I would pound your head into the ground like the weak gay little boy you are. The only reason act tough is because you live behind that computer screen. In real life you wouldn't be so tough.

Gays aren't as weak as you think, my friend. Trust me. And regardless of that, the fact that you turn to physical violence again proves everything that I've said about you. You are the WEAK one.

gay people have the same rights as every body else.they just want to have special rights above every body else . so they can sue chruches and christians and to ban the bible as hate speech . and maybe some of you ought togo back and check history and see who the real bigots were.hint they were not the republican party.

Gay people don't have the same rights as everybody else, that is what the argument/discussion/debate is all about – that they get the same rights, no more, no less. wanting to "sue chruches and christians and to ban the bible as hate speech" has nothing to do with being gay. I am in favour of all of the above and I am straight. I think that hateful bigots like you should be hunted down and imprisoned and re-educated with an electric cattle prod up your a s s.

Who cares if at one time the Republicans were the liberals progressives and the Democrats were the bigots and conservatives? Things have switched around the last few decades.

Do you really want to open up history books and see who the bigots really were? Okay, let's!
Who was it against interracial marraiges? Churches. Who was against giving women the right to vote? Churches. Who was against giving women equal rights as men? Churches. Who was against ending slavery? Churches. (Oh yeah, including our founding fathers!) Who has always been against freedom of any other religion besides their own? Christian churches! Who's been historically against teaching science and the arts in schools? Churches!

Gays do not want special rights, they want equal rights. They do not want to sue churches–they want nothing to do with any church that rejects them. They do not want to get rid of the Bible–MILLIONS of gays & lesbians still attend church. People like you make me sick.

If you don't have the mental capacity to bunk with a gay guy in the same room, you shouldn't be in the military. You should be in the fifth grade.

You have to love right wing morons. Their ignorance knows no bounds. They should take to time to look at the comments made when President Truman integrated the armed forces. The same reactionary fascist slime-dogs proffered the same bs rhetoric that we see now. Please, you rwm's out their, just move to saudi arabia and you can bask in the warm glow of a theocracy that believes the same way that you do.

Guys...Why did it take 15 years for someone to sue on constututional grounds? That's my question of the day. I've seen people run to the courthouse over smaller things...like being on the losing end of a ballot measure. Yet, this was done during the Clinton years and just now someone decided to mosey over to the courthouse to say something. If this was going to be challenged, even SlowPoke Rodriquez would have beaten you and gotten the forms filled out, fees paid, etc.
