@Nat...there was a 4.9 earthquake in Wyoming today. They don't have earthquakes in Wyo...look it up...and there was an earthquake in Oklahoma last week. Oklahoma doesn't get earthquakes. Look it up. This is but 2 of the thousands of places experiencing increased quake activity as never before seen by man.

Plate tectonics is not a myth. Earthquakes are proof that the continents are moving. Geology takes place over millions of years ... a few inches at a time (earthquakes).

Nat...oh, sorry then. Still, has Indonesia always been this active? . @Roger....true. Yet earthquakes are for a certainty happening more frequently than ever before in human(written) history. I guess earthquakes are like violence. The more you are exposed to their dreadful effects, the less you notice. Before you know it, your kids are complaining about the earthquake shaking the PS3 unplugged right in the middle of one player ripping the guts out of the other player.

The Cretaceous Seaway divided our country from the Gulf of Mexico to the Arctic Ocean some sixty-three million years ago, until tjhe subducted Farallon Plate slid eastward far enough to lift the land it had previously buckled, and it marked the line of a far more ancient rift. Wyoming is in an area of volcanism, with a colossal magma chamber underlying Yellowstone, but if Oklahoma is feeling quakes, that is more significant. We probably are entering a period of greater tectonic activity, and the failed rift could be reactivated. Super-deep drilling probably isn't prudent at this time. If the earth moves for thee... well, it could be anything but romantic.

Reynardine & Phil- Y'all might want to do a little more internet research to find out that there are major faults running through the state of Oklahoma. "Google It" Meers fault-line "Wichita Mountains". The state has had many many earthquakes most of which have gone unnoticed. The state of Arkansas also has fault lines. I'm not sure of what they teach in schools these days however I clearly recall being taught about The New Madrid Fault System in the 5th grade and how many US states it effects. Wow, lucky for us there is the internet eh?

Jerry – Everything begins & everything ends. I don't deny you your faith. I however do not put all my faith and beliefs in a book that man put together, and also chose to leave out certain books for whatever reason. What was trying to be hidden from us if anything I wonder? Not to disclose my age, I have been told "We are in the end days" for over 40 years. I do not want to get into a religious debate, we are free to believe what we choose to. I choose to believe in a supreme power. I do not believe that the God you believe in is the end all be all of Gods. Jerry, we have already passed over our conscious mind just doesn't realize it yet.
