The state of Arizona executed convicted killer Jeffrey Landrigan late Tuesday after the U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way for the lethal injection.
The execution was carried out at 10:26 p.m. local time, according to a correction official.
Landrigan's attorneys filed a civil rights complaint last Thursday alleging the planned execution violated his constitutional rights to be free from cruel and unusual punishment and to due process.
On Monday, a U.S. District Court judge issued the temporary stay after concluding that the state did not provide Landrigan's side enough information to make its case sufficiently about the safety and legality of substances that would have been used to kill him.
In 1989, Landrigan escaped from an Oklahoma prison, where he was serving time for second-degree murder. He was convicted of strangling Chester Dean Dyer in Arizona a year later during an armed burglary, and a trial judge sentenced him to death.

Thank you for the edification concerning- abortion. The highest word to put to that subject. About the rest of your comment, i choose to abstain from making any statements that one can concoct. Have a nice day.
I apologize to Michelle. I misunderstood a post you made. Thank you.
Rocketship! Who's your Daddy? Who is your Daddy!
This appears to be the last post. I denounce the statement by Rocketship- The final word. in post #218. In my two posts #220 & 221, there are my statements that make Rocketship's "final word" to be dissolute by the power of my intellect. I, RaleighMatrix, am the rightful author to display The True Final Word.
Thank you.
