Steele has two words for Palin critics: 'Shut up!'

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele is defending Sarah Palin against recent attacks Monday, telling CNN that GOP detractors of the former vice presidential nominee need to "shut up."

"These Republican leaders who don't put their names in print but make comments in shadows need to shut up," Steele told American Morning's John Roberts Monday. "We're focused on winning elections tomorrow night. We're not focused on 2012."

People who think a narrow minded philosophy from the left or right can lead us to the promised land needs their head examined. Vote non partisan or independent candidates for real "Change"

Just vote. I'm tired of the damn commercials. If repubs win at least two more years of gridlock and nothing getting done. I hear Saint Kitts is beautiful this time of year.

@Biggeorge: I hope that was sarcasm. Obama didn't finish his first term as senator either. I always thought it was funny to watch people snipe at each other based on who was more inexperienced. Party loyalty always trumps common sense and honesty.

In reply to judge...do you know that it is a statistical fact that the more education a person has the more Liberal they become? There are more jobless republican teabaggers with nothing better to do than be the ignorant pawns of the republican party while at the same time collect their public aide checks paid for by my hard earned money! Money that I have made as result of my hard earned college education. Republicans should be ashamed of themselves! Stop catagorizing people's worth based on whether or not they have job or not. We would all be a lot better off had we not had to recover from 8 years of bush and cheney.I am stunned by the lack of humanity and ugliness this election cycle. This is a loose loose situation for the republicans. Either they will regain some seats and actually have to participate in the solution,or they will have to come up with a formidable canidate for 2012. Not looking good for you either way. The repugs are about to be fully exposed...those without a plan, liars, cheats, bullies, selfish, scheming, the list goes on. How about a little human descencey people? What an embarrassment!

We need to tell Michael Steele to STFU... we have the First Amendment in this country. Palin is a fool, I still remember her not being able to name one periodical she read Ina regular basis... pathetic.

"There are four boxes to be used in the defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury and ammo. Please use in that order"... I think we've just about exhausted the first three.

Lisababy. Shut your piehole. Do onto others. You couldn't stand in the same room with Sarah Palin so you should keep your criticisms to yourself.
phoenix. The much larger percent of people sitting home collecting state and federal assistance are black people. Over 90% of black voters are democrats and voted for Barack Obama.
The majority (meaning greater than 50%) of republicans work or are retired. So you can take your false comment back and now be aware that democrats like Obama want more people to be on government aid so they will vote for democrats.
Just like ungreatful democrat union people who think they have a right to own what they build. A common misguided way of thinking. I would like to be able put all the union autoworkers into a Boeing assembly plant.
See if they still think their wage should be enough to purchase what they are assemblying.

S Palin grabbed the emotions of prolifers and ran with it. Where she's going is any bodies guess. She's like in a fairy tale only this is real life with real problems. She is only doing this for her own end and dream come true. Personally, I don't care for her end game, but I do appreciate her abilities to shake things up and make people think.
Our real feelings are so repressed, it's good to speak your mind and define yourself.
