Baby survives 7-story fall

An 18-month-old girl in Paris, France, appeared unhurt after falling seven stories and bouncing off an awning into a man's arms, witnesses told Le Parisien newspaper.

Witnesses said the child and a sibling had been left alone briefly Monday in their seventh-floor apartment in the city's 20th arrondissement, east of the central city. The girl fell out of a window, but a boy on the street saw her falling and alerted his father, who caught the baby after she bounced off the awning of a tobacco shop and cafe on the building's ground floor, the paper reported.

The man with the quick reflexes and good hands, a doctor, looked over the girl and didn't find any injuries, but handed her off to an ambulance crew to be safe, according to Le Parisien.

Very happy to hear that this child was saved. But before people start saying that he was saved by the Creator of the Universe, give a thought to another child. A little boy was thrown out a window here, and didn't make it. Did the Creator of the Universe reject him? Was it off-duty? Sometimes things go right, and sometimes they go wrong, its not a sign that you are preferred or rejected by some deity.

Why charge anybody, this just happened to Eric Clasptons son when a window was left open, stuff happens, yeah lets compound the parents misery by putting them in jail.

And it was the work of god, he left the window open, made sure the awning broke her fall, and had an alert citizen catch her. Good work god. But we can only assume God didn't like cream so he let Claptons baby splatter.

God definitely had His hands on that child and placed that man (a doctor) there! It is a miracle.

I think it's a miracle that the baby survived! Accidents do happen, but you should watch your kids! I'm just glad the baby is ok. There has to be angels who looked down on that baby! God bless

Truly a miracle. It's sad that there are so many of you who feel the need to bash those of us with faith. What a lonely world you must live in.

That's ok God...we know how modest you are.
Good luck with the GOP spawn of Satan.
After two years of whining, complaining, dividing and just a constant "NO" to everything.
They sure better do something right or they can kiss 2012 goodbye.
    The heat is on....
