Defense rests with nothing to say in Fort Hood military hearing

Army Maj. Nidal Hasan, accused of the Fort Hood massacre last November, on Monday maintained the mystery about his thoughts, keeping silent when he and his lawyer had their chance to outline
their case.

Lawyers for Hasan brought no witnesses to the stand in the military hearing about the shootings.

Asked if he wished to make a statement, Hasan gave a barely audible "no" to the presiding officer.

Thats some bad defense. Obviously he did it, but you'd think his lawyers would say he's sorry or he's crazy or something.

Whatever the outcome of his trial, there is absolutely nothing they can do to hurt him considering the physical condition that he's in. He had a right to feel that these wars are wrong because they are,but he picked the wrong way to express it.

Daniel – I thought about not replying to your post, but the urge is too great - you are a shining example of a moron. Hasan wasn't protesting the war, he was killing his "brothers" in the military who trusted him most, yelling "Allahu Akbar" or "God is great" in Arabic. Not only did he not want to go to the middle east, he went so far as to hide behind his religious convictions to justify the slaughtering of his countrymen.

The Universe is godless, it's only the sick and delusional who believe otherwise.

Hang this guy on the Mall in Washington and leave the corpse hanging 'til it rots off the rope.
