[12:18 p.m. ET] The New York Giants-Minnesota Vikings game will take place Monday at 7:20 p.m. at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, the NFL said in a statement Sunday. The game was moved after the roof of the Vikings' Metrodome in Minneapolis collapsed due to heavy snow.
[11 a.m. ET] The game between the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Giants will not be played at the Metrodome on Monday or Tuesday because of the roof collapse caused by heavy snow, the NFL announced Sunday.
The league is exploring the possibility of playing Monday night at the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium or another domed NFL stadium, according to a statement from Greg Aiello of the NFL.
[Original post] Heavy snow has caused the roof of the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to collapse, a spokesman for the Minnesota State Patrol said Sunday.
A blizzard that hit the Midwest prompted officials Saturday night - before the roof collapsed - to postpone Sunday's scheduled NFL game between the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants. A statement from the Vikings cited "unsafe conditions related to the Metrodome roof and the weather."
The game was rescheduled from Sunday afternoon to Monday night, the team said.
The Giants were stranded at Kansas City International Airport on
Saturday, unable to get to Minnesota because of the snow, said team spokesman Peter John-Baptiste.

If global warming is man made then how do we explain all the numerous climate/ temperature changes throughout the worlds time. Ice age, droughts,etc. All of which occured before large populations of people, cars, planes, factories, etc etc...
No one has ever claimed that global warming is entirely man-made. As you stated, there have been climate changes in the past not atributable to pollution. The claims are that this instance of global warming has been excellerated by pollution and the concern is that the damage to the Ozone layer could effect the normal swing back to colder climates.
I'd like to see the "trickle down economics fix the dome", yeah no new taxes. Have fun with that

uhh Kara...average temps may be higher in New England but there are plenty of examples of games in Foxborough with temps in low teens and snow all around and below 0 wind chills. One such game a few years ago had fans being told by the team to stay home for their own safety. The ones that came were sitting on snow drifts because their seats were buried under them...Patriots won.
