WikiLeaks rival plans Monday launch

Arguing that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has "weakened the organization," a newly organized rival to the website known for leaking official secrets says it will launch Monday.

The founders of Openleaks.org say they are former WikiLeaks members unhappy with the way WikiLeaks is being run under Assange.

"It has weakened the organization," one of those founders, Daniel Domscheit-Berg says in a documentary airing Sunday night on Swedish television network SVT. He said WikiLeaks has become "too much focused on one person, and one person is always much weaker than an organization."

In an e-mail to CNN, Domscheit-Berg said the group hopes to launch its site Monday.

And so the government will take down this new site! Assange could be a set up by the government to have an excuse to regulate the internet.

In 1984 the Union Carbide factory in Bhopal exploded, sending poisonous gases across the countryside, killing an estimated 30,000 Indians, with another 500,000 injured. For almost 30 years Indian courts have requested that the US extradite the then chief executive of Union Carbide, Warren Anderson, to face charges emanating from that disaster – five presidents have rejected this request. Obviously for the US administration the embarrassment caused by Assange is a far greater crime than this disaster.

It needs to stop, its boring and stupid. i don't give a rats a$$ about what all these government s think of each other. obviously we differ or we would all be one big nation. So why are private messages being published. how would these leaks people or anyone for that matter want thier privacy violated? especially if it put them in danger. Its stupid!

Unfortunately Wikileaks is only available to English Speakers. Most people from the other side of the world namely from Latin America that are very much concerned is not able to understand what's really going on. As a translator from http://www.etranslate.com.br I would be very glad to make this information available to other peoples.

Poor Wiki guy. Assange can do no right. The government officials tag him as criminal, while the leakers feel he is too weak. Can we give this poor Australian a break? Send him money for his defense fund.

@Vince. No! Assange has not caused the death of anyone. I don't see how you can compare the two.
