Who says May-Miss December romances don't work?
Hugh Hefner, the 84-year-old Viagra-popping founder of Playboy, is tying the knot for the third time.
This time the lucky gal is 24-year-old Crystal Harris, December 2009 playmate of the month.
“When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears,” Hefner posted on his Twitter account. "This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory."
“Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring," he clarified later for those asking if it was merely a Christmas present or a step forward for the couple.
Hefner posted that he and Harris spent the night before Christmas watching a movie, then exchanging gifts. Hefner had a few for his girlfriend, which Harris tweeted pictures of, including the legendary diamond Playboy watch.
His big gift was the engagement ring. It was a "memorable Christmas Eve together," Hefner tweeted.

Hefner's love life has, of course, been well documented – including the popular reality show showcasing a trio of girlfriends in "The Girls Next Door."
Hefner and his previous wife, 1988 playmate of the year Kimberley Conrad, were married in 1989 and separated in 1998. They divorced this year. Now Hefner will walk down the aisle half a century after his first marriage in 1959 to Mildred Williams.
But if you think Hef might not be the exact icon of monogamy or a perfect relationship, he begs to differ. In an interview with RadarOnline.com after the breakup of Sandra Bullock and Jesse James, he said more than anyone, he knows all of the sides to a relationship – and what makes one work.
"I was married and completely faithful for eight years," he told Radar. "I lived a single life, a playboy lifestyle, before and after it, but while I was married I was faithful to it." Hefner told the New York Times magazine in July that he uses Viagra – which he called "God's little helper" – a couple of times a week.

Nowere in the bible is there a rule against an 82 year old man marrying a 24 year old woman, so I have no problem with this.
As long as Hugh has paid wedding-price to her father, and as long as the maiden is of course a virgin. But that goes without saying.
Crystal's father died when she was a young girl.

Hugh Hefner, from what I've seen on tv and read about hiim, is an interesting, generous, compassionate man, that was early on a supporter of women's rights, equal opportunity for blacks and others of color,a humanitarian. He probably is a fun, nice guy to be married to, and is passing his wealth on to a wife in good faith and love. Congrats to them!
Good for them. I met Hef years ago. He was an absolutely charming and personable gentleman. I also like Crystal. Haven't met her but she seems to be a down to earth lady, unlike the trio he had living with him on the reality show, or the bimbo twins. I don't understand why people have to say such nasty things. Good luck to both of them. I am sure that Crystal is in love and is bothered by the fact that she won't have her husband around for a 50 year wedding anniversary. If he were a young man they would have been in love as well. I'm happy for them.
Bren, funny you should mention that you met him. I met Hefner and his girlfriend at the time, Barbi Benton, back in the 1970s. He was rude and arrogant, but Barbi was charming. I was a college kid with a subscription to Playboy, and I was in awe of Hefner, but after I met him in person, not so much. That was just a first impression, but it stuck.

Allen, maybe he was or seemed rude to you because you are male, and was nice to me because I'm female (and blond, not anything close to a playmate tho!) I am surprised that Barbi was nice...
Sorry to hear he was a jerk. I have met a few other celebs and some were very rude. It does leave you with a lasting impression. There is no reason for them to act like that to anyone.

Give your head a shake Leila. Women are attracted to powerful men, men are attracted to beautiful women. Always been that way, always will. Nothing disgusting about it ... it's all about basic human drives that go back to the beginning of time. Women, at the cellular level, are attracted to a man who can provide for her and the offspring and men, at the cellular level, are attracted to a woman who is young and can bear children. It's called, "survival" honey and there's nothing wrong with it.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that he cannot marry a 24 year-old woman.
It says that Hugh has to pay wedding-price to her father, and that the maiden must be stoned to death by the men of the village, if the tokens of virginity are not found on her.
So, if you live in Hughs town, and the tokens of virginity are not found on the maiden, you should move to another town if you are not in to stoning.
