Who says May-Miss December romances don't work?
Hugh Hefner, the 84-year-old Viagra-popping founder of Playboy, is tying the knot for the third time.
This time the lucky gal is 24-year-old Crystal Harris, December 2009 playmate of the month.
“When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears,” Hefner posted on his Twitter account. "This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory."
“Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring," he clarified later for those asking if it was merely a Christmas present or a step forward for the couple.
Hefner posted that he and Harris spent the night before Christmas watching a movie, then exchanging gifts. Hefner had a few for his girlfriend, which Harris tweeted pictures of, including the legendary diamond Playboy watch.
His big gift was the engagement ring. It was a "memorable Christmas Eve together," Hefner tweeted.

Hefner's love life has, of course, been well documented – including the popular reality show showcasing a trio of girlfriends in "The Girls Next Door."
Hefner and his previous wife, 1988 playmate of the year Kimberley Conrad, were married in 1989 and separated in 1998. They divorced this year. Now Hefner will walk down the aisle half a century after his first marriage in 1959 to Mildred Williams.
But if you think Hef might not be the exact icon of monogamy or a perfect relationship, he begs to differ. In an interview with RadarOnline.com after the breakup of Sandra Bullock and Jesse James, he said more than anyone, he knows all of the sides to a relationship – and what makes one work.
"I was married and completely faithful for eight years," he told Radar. "I lived a single life, a playboy lifestyle, before and after it, but while I was married I was faithful to it." Hefner told the New York Times magazine in July that he uses Viagra – which he called "God's little helper" – a couple of times a week.

Ol' Hef has the look of imminent ejaculation permanently fixed in his gaze. He can't help it; it's a mental condition that has rewarded his dopamine receptors for 3 generations now. I'd like to have a look inside the mind of his great-granddaughter-aged wife, too; you'd likely find some aberrations going on in there as well. But of course in the internet age you will always find support and praise for any state of mind, any ideology, and any behavior. It's harder to stare yourself in the face and ask the tough questions anymore when your fans preempt you with praise for the status quo.

Not hating on Hef but let's be honest here. I've never met any 24 yr old woman who'd seriously consider marrying a dude this old. It's sad seeing an old man being taken advantage of like this. I can understand age differences, I myself routinely go out with 18, 19 yr olds and I'm in my mid 30's and I know it's largely to do with the fact that I drive nice cars and own homes by the beach, I don't pretend these girls fall in love with me legitimately for the most part, I'm sure they're just living it to the max while they're young, getting to travel on my dime and going on shopping sprees, something that a very very small portion of guys their age could provide. I think it's good for Hef, but seriously getting married? Hef if you're reading this, women that are young and attractive don't find really old guys like you marriage material. Have fun, live it up, but you are fooling nobody by getting married except yourself. And on a side note, she's not that hot, I can already see her being predisposed to getting "chubby"... it's in the cheeks.

18 and 19 y/o girls, but you're in your mid 30s? The only reason to like girls THAT young is that you are a paedophile, I'm sure you'd make an exception for the right 15 y/o.... Most people can't stand being around giddy high school aged girls by their mid twenties...
Falcon ... what you fail to understand is that you're considering this situation as if Hef is the 80+yr old retired mechanic who lives in your neighbourhood. He's not your average guy and never was ... he was a visionary, pioneer, enormously successful and has lived an atypical life that none of us can even imagine. So why do you think his personal relationship would be traditional? It's perfectly suited to the rest of his life.
I can understand it's hard for some of you to understand what type of woman rich men attract. Unfortunately I do attract younger women looking to party, travel, and have a good time. Do I consider this vain and superficial? Of course I do, but you are no different than I in a lot of ways and would attract the same types of women for all the wrong reasons I do.
I would invite you to spend a week in my shoes, but honestly I'm having wayyy too much fun living this vain and superficial lifestyle and wouldn't give it up to someone who wouldn't appreciate it even for 1 hour. Does my lifestyle mean I don't have great relationships with my friends, family, business relations? I'm pretty sure you wouldn't believe me if I told you I value many more things over money and beautiful women, but I really don't expect you to believe me.
All I'm saying is that I get a lot of unsuccessful people hating on my lifestyle because I'm sure it's something they cannot achieve. So if you enjoy women your age please go ahead and continue having those types of relationships, why do you have to judge me on my preferences and methods of building relationships? You don't think I wonder what type of family brought up a girl who is half my age, who is willing to give herself up for a weekend at a beach in Mexico? Of course I think about this, and do you think I'd consider her marriage material? Do you think she'd consider me true marriage material when she knows it will be another girl the next weekend? Open your eyes man, you're living in a fantasy world, people aren't idiots, they know what they get themselves into, they're just surprised when it finally happens to them.

From what I understood, the reason he didn't marry Holly is because she wanted children. I also think he has had a vasectomy. Thank G*d. Hopefully he won't reverse it for this young child. I also heard that all he does is lay on his back and make the women do all the work. He's too old to get on top of anyone.
