Who says May-Miss December romances don't work?
Hugh Hefner, the 84-year-old Viagra-popping founder of Playboy, is tying the knot for the third time.
This time the lucky gal is 24-year-old Crystal Harris, December 2009 playmate of the month.
“When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears,” Hefner posted on his Twitter account. "This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory."
“Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring," he clarified later for those asking if it was merely a Christmas present or a step forward for the couple.
Hefner posted that he and Harris spent the night before Christmas watching a movie, then exchanging gifts. Hefner had a few for his girlfriend, which Harris tweeted pictures of, including the legendary diamond Playboy watch.
His big gift was the engagement ring. It was a "memorable Christmas Eve together," Hefner tweeted.

Hefner's love life has, of course, been well documented – including the popular reality show showcasing a trio of girlfriends in "The Girls Next Door."
Hefner and his previous wife, 1988 playmate of the year Kimberley Conrad, were married in 1989 and separated in 1998. They divorced this year. Now Hefner will walk down the aisle half a century after his first marriage in 1959 to Mildred Williams.
But if you think Hef might not be the exact icon of monogamy or a perfect relationship, he begs to differ. In an interview with RadarOnline.com after the breakup of Sandra Bullock and Jesse James, he said more than anyone, he knows all of the sides to a relationship – and what makes one work.
"I was married and completely faithful for eight years," he told Radar. "I lived a single life, a playboy lifestyle, before and after it, but while I was married I was faithful to it." Hefner told the New York Times magazine in July that he uses Viagra – which he called "God's little helper" – a couple of times a week.

I am more sickened by the disgusting words of pure judgment in peoples comments then by two ADULTS deciding to get married. I wonder what people would say about YOU if they saw only a snapshot of your life. If they are happy who am I to judge – more power to them. Congrats! On a side note, hugh hefner is one of millions using viagra and I have a feeling a lot of the other users are half his age... Just saying. Don't sit in your glass house throwing boulders.

Congratulations to both of them. It wasn't meant to be with Holly. Age is a number and it really shouldn't matter as Hugh has found the right person for him to settle down with at his age and Chrystal happens to be that person. She seems genuinely a nice and down to earth person that will take care of him. Best wishes to both of them. He has entertained us over the years and does respect the women who willingly want to be playmates. Plus, he has given them a great life.

eb – I'm certain Chrystal knows that it is companionship and love for as long as she has him and who is to say that he will go before her even though it is logical to think so given his age. After all, we all all mortals and will die someday and who knows what the future holds?

They're two adults. Neither of them is married to anyone else right now. They're both over 18, and as far as I'm concerned, what they do in their own bedroom is between them. If it makes them happy... whether for money, looks, power, prestige, the Playboy lifestyle, or whatever... then who am I to judge? Two independent adults should have the right to get married and do whatever they want behind closed doors.
Independent adults? C'mon....See this is why I have a problem with this. It is a proven fact that the human brain doesn't fully develop (especially as it pertains to risky behavior and making rational choices) until age 25. And these guys know it. Its why they scower the universities for these young impressionable girls to get into the business. In some cities they have to ban strip joints and other "adult" businesses from setting up shop close to colleges, because they TARGET them. Then, when they get them hooked they say, "Well, they're over 18. They're adults" ....Yeah RIGHT! We all remember how stupid, naiive, gullible, rebellious, etc. we were at that age. Even at age 24, we still haven't grown out of it. That's why 30 year olds generally spend the next 10 of their life digging themselves out of the trouble they got into in their 20s. THIS IS JUST PLAIN WRONG! He should leave these young women alone. This girl's father is either out-of-her life, in jail or turning over in his grave. Any self-respecting father would be appalled.
