Singer Teena Marie dead at 54

Teena Marie, an award-winning singer-songwriter known for her R&B
performances, has died, her manager said Sunday. The performer was 54.

Marie was found dead by her daughter after apparently dying in her sleep,
manager Mike Gardner said.

    I'm shocked. I saw her in concert with Rick James, Bayfront Center, in '81. What a wonderful voice. She will truly be missed.

      Wow... Nearly 30 yrs ago, Lady T along with Rick James must have left a lasting impression and a fond memory! The other half of Fire and Desire has passed on. She will truly be missed!

    I am speachless, I'll miss you lady T. I'll miss you in philly this summer, my heart and love go out to her family her daughter, I can't stop crying. She was at the top of my list as my number one female singer I never heard no one sing the way she did. She was so true to her fans she loved her fans. I was one of the biggest. can't beleave she is gone.
