Airline passengers grapple with days-long delays in getting home

Major airports across the U.S. northeast slowly got back to normal Tuesday after blizzard conditions blanketed much of the region, leaving thousands of passengers stranded since the holiday weekend.

"With all the cancellations and delays, it'll be two to three days before the airlines are at a regular schedule," said Thomas Bosco, general manager of New York's LaGuardia airport.

Officials say they expect 100 flights operating at LaGuardia between 6 a.m. and noon Tuesday. The airport would typically handle some 70 flights an hour.

With all the talk about the baggage issues at JFK...has anyone considered that the outgoing flights may not be able to be crewed? I am a Flight Attendant for a Major Airline that operates out of JFK. I cannot get to the airport today as there are no cabs or buses running in my area. I am supposed to fly today at 4:45 pm....not gonna happen, and I know of at least 20 other flight attendants in the same boat.

If you live in the NY area and you were flying out on vacation or a visit, STAY HOME! Let those who need to get home have the seats! You can vacation or visit another time!

Only passengers escorted by well-connected, well-dressed men will be allowed to board:

With glaciers melting the amount of liquid available for snowfall has increased.
This means Siberia has a larger snowdome which forces the the jet stream to take a wider detour around it.
This is why passengers are delayed.
Just enjoy the fact you can afford to travel.
