Can’t place the face – Imagine looking in the mirror and not being able to recognize your own face. It happens sometimes to neurologist Oliver Sacks, who has had a brain disorder known as face blindness his entire life. As Sacks put it, he sees all the features on a face, but they don’t add up to a recognizable image. And that can hold true for even the most famous faces he sees.
