The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office in Wisconsin has confirmed that former talk show host Montel Williams was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia at General Mitchell International Airport on Tuesday.
Williams was caught by TSA with a pipe commonly used for marijuana while going through a security checkpoint, a sheriff's spokesperson said. He paid the citation of $484 and was released to resume his travel plans.
Williams suffers from multiple sclerosis and is a prominent advocate for legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes.

That some bs. can a brother smoke a joint now adays- the man has to be stopped.. these mudufockers have to be weeditized, we need to create a new government and get rid of thse lousy fat no good lousy politicians-
The same people that moan and complain about weed being illegal are the same people that are too apathetic and lazy to get out and vote on the issue. The fact is, the busybody moral d-bags that are agains legalization have one thing going for them – they vote.
I like Montel Williams more and more..
Can't we all just do a bong? Seriously, when a MAJORITY of Americans want pot legalized, it will be. Right on, phillip!!!
Yes,most currently favor a loosening of the draconian laws equating the loss of liberty for such a benign substance, but legal? I've grown my own for over twenty five years and I'm certainly not going to start paying taxes on something that should never been under government control in the first place. Ask anyone, I love hash. Big Day!!!!
MS is a horrible disease and if marijuana helps Montel with the symptoms (no cure in sight)he should be allowed to have it as long as a doctor prescribed it.I guess the state he was stopped in does not have medicinal marijuana? The charges should be dropped.A good way of thinking of MS is imagine an electrical cord with no protective coating around the wire and it keeps firing all along the cord. Now imagine this in your body and your nerves are firing with the person absolutely having no control of the spasms.I never watched Montel's show but show some compassion I know I would not handle MS well. Most people with severe MS wind up in wheelchairs..Keep fighting Montel!

Does this really surprise anyone? If so, you are more gullible than you think!
But booze is okay? Yeah, right. No problems with that LEGAL drug.
be like me
smoke for free
grow your own
Like wow man! I don't know what to say.
This was a set up, by the man himself. He is trying to get sympathy for the fight to give addicts their high. Sorry folks. Pot is no more a medication for pain than Meth is a medication for depression.
Tell that to all the people who HAVE found relief for their pain, by smoking pot. Yes, tell that to the terminal cancer patients who use it for THEIR pain.
You are horribly missinformed if you think cannabis is a dangerous narcotic. Please refrain from commenting on something, you know so little about. It makes you look small and dumb.Cannabis is the tree of life.In the bible it says something to the effect that man was given seed bearing plants for his use....duh...cannabis is seed bearing plant that you cannot die from no matter how much you smoke/vaporize/eat.Get real all you woefully missinformed souls. Its not fun getting into a battle of whits with an un-armed person.
Montel: Seen where you got popped for a pot pipe, well as a man who has been in pain for over 20 years, back back and i broke my neck twice in 2 years, i know what smoking pot does , makes you feel better to a certain degree, i will admit to smoking some myself to help with the severe bck and neck pain, time for the government to change the laws , alot less worrisome then booze
$484 for just a pipe....government is desperate for money....they're the only one's who can legally steal.
I have no problem if people want to smoke marijuana in their own homes or on thier own property. However if they are impaired by the effects of marijuana and cause damage\harm while in public or to another individual they should be willing to take full responsibility for their actions.
As far as the medical use of marijuana, I beleive there are those that do benefit from smokeing for medicinal purposes. However I also beleive that the vast majority that want legalization, smoke for recreational purposes and not medicinal reasons.
I also don't beleive that legalization of marijuana will reduce drug cartel violence in Mexico.
The only reason the U.S. Government won't legalize marijuana is because if they did they would actually be admitting they were "wrong" after all these years.
