One of two Mega Millions winners revealed

Mega Millions jackpot winner Jim McCullar and his wife, Carolyn, of Ephrata, Washington, stepped forward on Thursday to claim their half of the $380 million prize.

The other winner, in Idaho, has yet to come forward.

McCullar bought the ticket at a Safeway store in Ephrata using a combination of his and his wife's birthdays. This was the second time the numbers have brought them luck. He won $18,000 in Keno a few years ago, he said.

A jovial McCullar described the moment he and his wife confirmed they had the winning numbers, sitting in front of their computer with the ticket in hand and the Washington lottery website opened.

Changing the world with $380 million

"I said, 'look at this and look at that.' She looked and she studied, and she looked and she studied, and she looked at me and she screamed," he said.

"Tears started flowing down and I looked at her and I started crying. All she could say was, 'is this real, is this real?' And I says, 'I pinched myself already. We're awake and this is real.'"

      In Response to:
“A black guy won a few years ago, but he ran with the wrong crowd and wound up under a driveway."

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO WIND UP UNDER A DRIVEWAY? HOW DOES ONE ACCOMPLISH SUCH A TASK? Oh I think I know how, if your house has wheels, then your driveway must be elevated, thats the only logical way to end up under a driveway. And, if you have an elevated driveway, then it must mean your neck gets red on occasion. :)

Why do they need to invest it?? They should never have to worry about anything else, ever again. Just spend it and dont worry about investing or someone else will end up with more than these guys will.

These people did win the lottery right? I mean it sounds like they stole the money from some poor soul that left himself wide open! Congrats to all the big money winners! And to all the poor folks that have not been so fortunate to have found a pot of gold to come up on or has not been handed down to get that break. DREAM ON! May all your dreams come true........Peace Out!:)

I agree it seems that you see people that are about to retire or already did and don't really need the cash. i would like to see a young married couple with 4 kids WIN it more often then old people that usually don't need the money.
