Dollars & Sense: State of the Union; Verizon's backpedal

A roundup of today's CNNMoney news:

Republicans to hit hard on economy: Rep. Paul Ryan, the Republican Party's resident budget wonk, is expected to take the Obama administration to task Tuesday night for its handling of the economy and budget. Also, check out this reality check on last year's State of the Union address.

Inflation isn’t a problem … if you don’t want to eat: Inflation may not technically be a problem just yet, but agricultural commodities like wheat, corn, coffee and cocoa have all surged in recent months.

Verizon backs off unlimited plan: Verizon poured some gas onto the iPhone fire when it announced that it would offer the same $30 unlimited data plan for the phone that it offers for all of its other smartphones. The catch? It’s a limited-time offer.

300K a year? 25 great firms that pay big: Senior account execs at Salesforce.com take home an average $318,323 total compensation annually. Take a look at which other companies offer fat paychecks. And check out Container Store's hiring secret.

5 rejected Super Bowl ads: Many Super Bowl ads never make it past the censors. These five raunchy spots were rejected for air, but of course, the companies posted them online.

Well Cesar, Take a look at the TARP, The Recovery Act and the Federal Reserve. Obama saved this country from a Great Depression. Read them thoroughly and clearly and you will see what he has done. It is very impressive. If he did not implement these programs over 16 million jobs would have been lost, unemployment would have been at 16.5% and the deficit would have been $2.6 trillion dollars. He has done so much in such little time. So, he did give a good speech because he is a smart President. Think with a clear head before making such statements.
