Gotta Watch: 'Birthers' here to stay

Even as the president jokingly proclaimed he was carrying an ID to prove his citizenship, it seems the "birther" movement just won't let up. These are the latest fiery interviews that seem to be fueling the movement.

'Blowhard and a phony' – Those are some strong words for Donald Trump from New York Times journalist Christopher Byron. Last night,  Trump continued to question President Obama while sparring with CNN's John King . This is Byron's fierce analysis of the feud.

Certificate just not enough - So many questions remain for conservative activist Joseph Farah, who is still not convinced that President Obama is a citizen even after the release of the birth certificate. And then there's the radio personality who claims "there's just something not right about it."

Can we please move on? - Probably not. Our Carol Costello talks to political contributors James Carville and Dana Loesch, who go head to head in this heated debate.

Also, why can't we spell or use proper grammar? This MUST be all Obama's fault.

We do drill for our own oil. Roughly half of the oil we use is produced domestically. Even if we produced 100% of the oil we used it would NOT affect prices at all. Oil is a global commodity and if it can be sold overseas for greater profit that just what the producers would do. Unless you want to end the whole free-market thing.

Well as for the jobs, you might want to talk to the corporations that are shipping them overseas.

Obama can't just wave a magic wand and magically jobs are created! Why aren't you asking that of the Republicans in congress who ALL ran on job creation and said their singular focus would be jobs. They haven't even mentioned it since being in office.

Also, maybe you missed that huge oil spill in the Gulf, but it destroyed the economy in the gulf states who have seen unemployment sky rocket since the spill. Some Americans don't have the attention span of a 5 year old and can remember a year ago.

RUFFNUTT is right, why hasn't Obama created millions of jobs? He is all powerful and has totally control over every aspect of the economy, clearly he should be using this power to create jobs for absolutely everyone immediately.

And we clearly can't afford to give any foreign aid. We're the only nation in the world running a deficit and saving that <1% will go a huge way towards fixing that. Besides, helping those less fortunate than us has never benefited us in the past and is just plain wrong.

It seems that no matter who the republicans put as a candidate cnn will make them look like the worst pick in the world. If Obama was running as a republican CNN would kill him too.
I want to know who CNN thinks would be the right pick for the republicans. I don't think they can give us one because to them if your republican you are evil.

Sadly this article isn't about Obama's job making ability or policies to begin with. The republicains just want to distract americans from the real issues that affect our daily life. The whole birth certificate issue is just smoke and mirrors. I refuse to believe Trump is an actual candidate for president, he is a joke. CNN and other news affilialtions have turned the media into a celebrity update center and now it is leaking into OUR democratic process.

This is a start though, The problem all along has been that Obam ignored mainstream AMerica and the media always protects him. Well now, Trump got the Obama Mediaplex focused on himself and the Birth Certificate, let Trump parley that into the next topic.

@ Curtis: We live in a democratic republic, and the POTUS does NOT control every aspect of the economy. Control is distributed between regulatory agencies, like the government, and the companies that actually produce products, and the financial centers. We are not like Venezuela, where a loon like Chavez has destroyed democracy and their standard of living. You seem very comfortable with the idea of dictatorship, and thats a frightening thought.

Also, the amount we spend feeding and helping people is a tiny tiny fraction of what we spending blowing people up. The Iraq war cost us over $30,000 per American family. Giving to foreign aid doesn't just help people, it helps our standing in the world, helps the image of the United States, and helps us politically.

What if Trump gave a press conference and nobody came?
Will you please stop reporting on Trump? All day yesterday, 4/26/2011, was Trump, Trump, Trump. What a waste of time. Each time the media repeats his name it only excites, invigorates and encourages him. My guess is that he is filled with glee and joy each time he hears the echo of his name as it bounces about on airwaves, websites, facebook, twitter and in paper print. He has drafted you into his fake reality show. Why do you allow this fool to be a puppeteer? I can watch TMZ for this kind of tabloid entertainment. I watch your shows to stay informed. How is Trump informative? Leave him to the endless task of masturbating to the sound of his own name as he quests for the ejaculation that will never come because he can never hear the sound of his own name enough to get there.

Please, please explain to me why you think Donald Trump is suitable to be President? Because he "tells it like it is?" What does that mean, really, in the scheme of getting anything done with Congress, with our citizens, with the world? Haven't we learned, especially recently, that NOBODY in Congress can be told what to do, that those other world leaders have their own ideas about what is best for their countries, that with the deep and all-but-unbreachable divide in the populace, "telling it like it is" is all but telling one half of the citizenry "up yours." Because of his business expertise? He has built businesses and let them fail at the same pace, predominently on someone else's money. He has not demonstrated one iota of awareness of the lot of 99% of the country, as long as he gets his. Because he mirrors family values the right prizes? Please, 'nuff said. Because he has a funny TV show that encourage the ABSOLUTE WORST in horrible behavior? Please explain to me what it is you see in him as leader - without calling me names - because I seriously don't get it. Thank you.
