The United States will be given access to Osama bin Laden's wives for questioning, Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik told CNN Tuesday.  He did not give a timeline.

I agree with the person that said that his wives were not in his inner circLe! Maybe, and I don't know if this would help in learning anything new about Osama and others. But maybe they could learn about his habits, day to day activity and that might lead to something. Maybe he had visitors, or overheard calls. The wives, per news reports were all very educated. I have my doubts whether OBL's wives would have been in the loop. But questioning them is the way to go. All loose ends have to be tied up in any investigation.
All they would know is to be loyal to him like the wife who tried to shield OBL & was shot in the leg.
Slandering the Navy seals is most inappropriate, they were doing their job and succeeded.
A job that could have been wrapped up way back but for the fools & thugs who led us instead to the Iraq disaster and the loss of precious American lives.

You are correct on the Iraq disaster. Bush had such hard-on for Saddam Hussein that he couldn't see straight. In his own words, he didn't know where bin Laden was and didn't care. This probably would have been taken care of on his watch if not for the connections between the Bush and bin Laden families. Money and politics make for strange bedfellows.

    @Outsider:

I find that people who constantly say things like "do you know who you are dealing with" and
"If you understood who I was and what I do, you would quit" suffer from self-delusional grandeur. This is not to say that I think *you* do, but that's what I find.

If you were truly the omniscient person you say you are, and you think you know who Cesar is, call him up, or write a letter. Other wise, please can the threats. You are making yourself sound a little unbalanced. And the troll digs that.

He was loaning some moneys to man with too-close together eyes...a stupid clumsy man...it was for an oil venture. Salim mysteriously died in a freak airplane accident. There! Now let me go get stoned for cheating on heem.

People of the United States of America and President Obama,
Mr. President, your Administration must have thought the Pakistani's were talking about the river in Egypt when Pakistan gave us a "DENIAL" to interview the Terrorist wives we basically turned over to them. After the BILLONS in U.S. DOLLARS we have given themin AID to initially DENY the U.S. access is an OUTRAGE.All aid needs to be turned off today and they need to be told we will no longer stand in INDIA's way to do what they feel needs to be done to control Pakistan. There needs to be a Godfather Chruch Baptism scene moment played out with Pakistan and Iran where they are Mo Green who gets CAPPED through the eye while he is getting a massage.

I am not comfortable with this. These are his family members, not his Al Queda allies. We know the Taliban and Al Queda feel women play no role in a man's world. They are grieving the loss of their husband and traumatized by his killing, as are his children. In this country there is no way they would be interviewed by officials except with attorney and advocates present. Who will advocate for these women? They have already been subjegated and abused by Al Queda. Just tread carefully here. There are still ethics involved. And in NO way should the children who watched their father die, be questioned. They are innocents here. Let's remember our values, please.

It's amazing how people insult each other on blogs. I just rather do it in person, but that's me. His wives probably didn't have a choice..but I'd ask how they could sleep with him and bare his children? Yuck. Ew and Gross come to mind. I'd say that to his Osama's face but I'm not the best scuba diver. The man was a symbol of evil pure and simple. Like Manson he didn't need to pull the trigger to be guilty of murdering people, it was his views, message and what he stood for, that needed to be silenced for good. The wives might not know anything and if they are telling the truth they should be left alone.

How many wives are left? Why doesnt it mention any background? The front page article the other day said at least 2 had divorced him previously because they were accustomed to living better than he allowed. It mentioned all were educated and one was a direct descendant of Mohammed. The wife that was shot was the only one living w/him and she didnt leave the house for 6 yrs. Gee I'm glad I had that knowledge base before reading this article. If you're going to write a story details are usually helpful to the reader. The 5 W's are a good place to start.

get your facts straight. We giving billions to Pakistan is a myth.
Under a bill initiated by Kerry 7 others a couple of years back announcing an aid package. Pakistan has hardly received $ 340 million or so.
We need both Afghanistan and Pakistan on our side for our future geo-political, economic and strategic goals in that region. The balance of power has been shifting away from us since our Iraq invasion. countries like Russia and China are now taking advantage of our flawed policies by forging new alliances.
Both Iran & Turkey are now considered potential future powers in that region. Sands are shifting in the Middle East and amid revolutions. We are losing allies both in the Middle East & Latin America and elsewhere.
We now more than ever need statesmanship and diplomacy to guide us in this changing scenarion not just our Stealths and cruise missiles. If we want to remain the sole Super Power.
Blind propaganda against countries in that region has to stop for sanity to prevail.

    @ Professor

you are right to point out that FBI has no proof or evidence of Osama Bin Laden being responsible for 9/11 attacks. And that his so called 'confession' which proves nothing, is considered fake. His was on FBI's wanted list not for 9/11 but other terror attacks around the world.
In 2003 the Afghan Talibans offered to hand over Osama to USA if we could provide them evidence of his complicity in 9/11 attacks. This offer was dismissed right away ? We didn't then and don't even now have any proof
