Unborn child has Facebook profile

Unborn baby Marriah Greene has a lot to say, at least according to her Facebook profile.

The child attends Tummy University, enjoys soccer and swimming and talks in first person. And her friends talk back to her– in baby-speak, naturally.

Of course, it’s really her mother, Ellie Greene of Whitehouse, Texas, updating the page, but the fetus already has more than 260 friends.

When Ellie and her husband, Matt, decided it was time to announce their pregnancy, they wanted a quick, inclusive method, and what’s faster than Facebook to spread exciting news?

“Within a day she had over 100 friends,” Ellie said, according to affiliate KLTV.

Friends quickly responded to updates about Marriah. They give advice, make jokes and compliment her beauty in the ultrasound photos.

“We wanted to keep the page going, so she could go back and look at it,” Ellie said, giving her daughter the opportunity to see how many people adored her before she was even born.

The parents plan to continue updating the page, with her birth story coming soon. After all, “The word in the belly is there's a lot more to see.”

I think they generally frown upon putting a laptop that close to a pregnant woman's belly.

Your headline on CNN.com reads fetus. It's not a fetus! It's an unborn baby!

"Fetus" is to "unborn baby" as "abortion" is to "murder".. Same thing.

Shamen – A fetus is a stage in a BABY'S natural development. I know. It is my job.
Ergo – Fetus > baby > toddler > child > teen . etc etc ALL are relevant stages of the same human life.
      Ergo- Abortion is murder.

Wow, this is nuts! I don't want to think of the outcome if they have a miscarriage...it won't be so cute for the unborn child to have a FB page then. Just seems alittle foolish to me.

@Joann. Fetus is a medical term. Calm down. And before you go all "abortion is murder blah blah blah", I have two kids. I also have the right to choose.

How is this news? I know that gets said a lot around here, but there are other stories that could take this stories place at the headlines. Maybe if it had some abortion related info it would be worth it, but as it stands, this is useless info.

All I have to say about this is: if you think cell phones held up to your ear cause cancer because of the nearness of their magnetic field and signal, try holding a laptop with a full-on wireless card on your lap next to our fetus.

Really. OMG, this is sick I wouldn't want my unborn child's fetal image on FB or any other public place for that matter. Geez, people will do any freaking thing to get in the NEWS and I can't believe CNN finds this newsworthy!

So I am assuming this settles the abortion debate. Clearly something not alive can not also have a facebook page.

Sad thing is that there are actually people who jack off to this stuff. I stopped talking to someone for this same reason.
