A federal judge in Atlanta, Georgia, has blocked a controversial state law cracking down on illegal immigrants from taking effect until the broader legal issues are resolved.
Monday's order by Judge Thomas Thrash, which CNN has obtained, temporarily prevents enforcement of the law, which would penalize those who transport or harbor illegal immigrants.
The case is Georgia Latino Alliance v. Deal. The law, known as HB 87, was scheduled to go into effect Friday.

To fufill the shortage of farm workers who fled the state it was proposed to hire people on probation or parole. They said no way to that. Instead of making it easier for a citzen to right his wrong and not go back to a life of crime we'll just hire someone who broke the law the second they set foot in our country. In any other country the police demand to see your identification and if your papers aren't in order out you go. How is that wrong? America is the only country where an illegal immigrant can be left alone because we don't want to hurt their feelings. We're worried about violating their rights when they have none to begin with. Me and my wife are saving to move out of the country. America is a sinking ship with no signs of hope. For the rich by the rich.
Whenever a nationality migrates to America they are all proud to be American. They learn the language and become a productive part of the society. Mexicans are the only nationality who could care less about the welfare and future of this country and only care about using this country's wealth for their own gain instead of taking responsibility for their failed country of origin. They showed the all mexican crowd at the mexico-US soccer game in LA the other day and the fans only cheered for the mexican team. I know what team those fans are on and its not ours. I'll gladly pay a few dollars extra for groceries to preserve the value of American citizenship. American citizenship is more than a club with paying taxes like club dues.

OK, if they pay taxes then I have no problem with immigration. What I don't agree with is free everything. No taxes, free medical and free education. If I refused to pay taxes my butt would be in jail, sick and uneducated.
Actually, studies have shown that illegals pay – as a percentage of income – more that people who have legal protection against exploitation by rapacious employers. They buy things (sales tax), they (unless the employer pays them under the table) have state and federal taxes deducted, schools, sure public schools try to educate the CHILDREN of illegals…..

To begin with they are not “illegal immigrants”, stop using that term! They are “illegal aliens”. Immigrant is a term for someone who enters a country legally, not sneak across the boarder! Lastly you would think that a judge would understand the term illegal? Why is it that we are having such a hard time understanding what the word illegal means, and the ramifications of the crime these people are committing and the need to do something about it?
Well why not just eliminate all of the individual States and we can become one big country. States rights are meaningless now and therefore the States themselves are of no importance. So let's just dismantle what we laughingly call our borders and throw the whole country open to anyone and everyone.
