Waiting begins for Casey Anthony followers across nation

Jodi Waits is planning to leave her home in Lexington, South Carolina, on Wednesday to drive to Florida, where her elderly parents live.

"I'll stop at stores and rest stops on the way down," said Waits, 48. "And hopefully they won't have a verdict while I'm on the road."

Across the nation, many of those who were glued to the televised murder trial of Casey Anthony are expressing similar sentiments as a second day of jury deliberations are under way. The jury is deciding whether Casey Anthony is guilty of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, in 2008.

Orange County Chief Judge Belvin Perry Jr. called jurors into the courtroom briefly Tuesday before sending them out to continue their deliberations about 8:30 a.m.

Casey Anthony is charged with seven counts, including first-degree murder; aggravated manslaughter of a child; aggravated child abuse; and four counts of providing false information to law enforcement. If convicted of first-degree murder, she could receive the death penalty.

She has pleaded not guilty to all charges, and she denies harming her daughter Caylee.

Prosecutors allege that Anthony used chloroform to render Caylee unconscious before putting duct tape over her nose and mouth to suffocate her. She left Caylee's body in the trunk of her car for a few days before disposing of it, they allege. The little girl's skeletal remains were found in December 2008 near the Anthony home.

Many have compared Casey Anthony's trial to the O.J. Simpson murder trial in 1995 - only fueled by today's prevalence of the Internet and social media.

They need to hurry with this case. Casey anthony knows she's guilty!! She's tryin to make herself look innocent in front of the public . She's a heartless mother . If she still want to party and do all that drinking n going out, she should never have kids. There are people out there who wants kids so bad but can't gave kids , so she took all that for granted . I hope the jury finds her guilty and put her on death penalty the same way she killed get daughter .

I hope she is found guilty! It will be a shame to let her out and give her a second chance in life. Lets us hope they remember Caylee when making their decision.

I think that all defense case can not be even consider as a defense statement because it was based on Kassie's words ,there are no other witnesses about Kally's"drowning in the pool" and we all know that Kasey -is a pathological liar!
So all defense story about Kally's drowning in the pool is FALSE!

I cannot believe this verdict at all, I think it is amazing to me that the last person this little girl was with was her mother, then thrown in the woods in a trash bag and left there all along the mom partied, the trunk of the car smelled of a dead body, she never reported her missing and then lied throughout the entire ordeal, I cannot even believe this system at all, not murder 1 or 2 o 3 or child abuse or man slaughter, what the *&*% is that.............this is an uproar.........I am so distgusted in our system and our law right now that mothers can get away with murdering their children with a slap on the wrist..........

I just don't understand.Casey was the last one to be with her daughter. If it was an accident then why would she not tell anyone that for 3 years while she was sitting in jail ? Why take a chance on losing your life by staying with the murder charge? BECAUSE it was NOT an accident! Well they say the devil takes care of his own.

My comments are to the people on the jury, how in the hell could you find this poor accuse of a woman let alone a mother off. What mother in her right mind would leave her childs body in the truck of car decomposing, then remove the body place it in a trash bag and bury it in the woods like an animal. How did she misteriously get duck tape on her face? If it was an accident why didn't she call 911, why go a month before reporting that she was kidnapped? What was see doing when the baby drowned? What mother would leave a two year old unattended in a swimming pool? Seven women on the jury, Does either of you have children? My first response if I saw my child floating in a pool is to do start CPR and then call 911, not think of lies on how I could blame an unknown person of kidnap. One more thing, if she was abused by both father and brother why is the mom still with him and why are they not on trail. That seem like a cover up by her family after the fact. I pray that Kaylee face will be the last thing all of you see when you go to bed at night and the first thing you see when you wake in the morning. Where is the justice for this innocent soul.

Kaylee make you rest in peace.

Don't be too surprised people, this is the home of the hanging chad after all. If they're too dumb to cast a ballot correctly why would we expect them to get this verdict correct?

The jury has obviously got paid off just like o.j did also. Im glad the weak system has failed agian as why immigrats of strict laws have forced their way past our useless/weak laws. Hope this problem happens to the jury's children so they can rot in hell also. This makes me sick and how she can get away with murder is sickening.
Question is? If she gets knocked up agian and kills her son/daughter will she get off agian? With the same jury and lawyer i bet she will.

Casey is a pathetic joke crying over the fact that she won the case and not her murdered daughter. Hope society will take it in their own hands and bury her also.
I was born in china and if this happened she would be NOT ONLY BE shot BUT the bullet would they use would be charged by the parents who raised a mental case.
God pray on the lil one who lost a life from the devil. She will get her day and hopefully society will wish her dreams good bye.

Huh? China must have changed. It wasn't that long ago that it was legal to kill a new born daughter.
