President Barack Obama, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen certified Friday that the U.S. military is prepared to accept openly gay and lesbian service members, and that doing so will not harm military readiness, according to the White House.
Under a bill passed last year that set up a process for repealing the controversial "don't ask, don't tell" policy, all three men needed to sign a certification that confirms the military's ability to accept the integration of openly gay and lesbian troops.
A 60-day waiting period will now begin before the repeal is fully implemented.

That is probably a world statistic. Looking at America alone you would see very different infection statistics.
Nobody seems to recall who's to blame for AIDS. And you forget, before political correctness put an end to the name, AIDS was called GRID (GAY Related Immune Deficiency). Gays brought it, only gay men got it...until one put his dick in a female. ONLY Political correctness nonesense has blinded the world to the FACT of who brought AIDS to gays, women and children in America.
We have always had gays in the military it's about time to say good job.

I have a great PO1 who's partner and daughter have stood by her throughout multiple deployments, and reassignment to an overseas location for two years. Her separation has been trying, and the end of DADT, and push to end DOMA could really ease some of the many burdens and sacrifices we make for the good of the United States of America and her people.
Allowing gay marriage and allowing gays to join the military is not something to be proud of, Stopping the war against innocent people of Palestine and such is what you should be doing.
How are openly gay people be accepted in the military ? In the Navy , the ship barracks are male and female separated, so how is every guy or girl going to walk around know that there is a gay person possibly looking at them ?
