Casey Anthony must serve 1 year probation, judge rules

A Florida judge ruled Friday that Casey Anthony must serve one year of supervised probation for a check-fraud conviction.

Orange County Chief Judge Belvin Perry Jr. said Anthony has to report no later than noon on August 26, but that she can report earlier.

Perry also ruled that the Florida Department of Corrections is authorized to keep her address confidential to safeguard her well-being.

Anthony was cleared earlier this year of murder charges related to the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.

But she was convicted in January 2010 of felony check fraud charges, after she admitted she stole a checkbook from her friend Amy Huizenga and wrote five checks totaling $644.25.

Anthony's defense attorney, Lisabeth Fryer, argued that Anthony completed the probation while she was serving time in jail waiting for her trial on the murder charge.

Prosecutors disagreed.

People are so quick to judge her but in a court of law she was found innocent. It is a court of law not a court of justice. If the Prosecutor had not over charged her from the begining she would be in jail. With the lack of evidence this was never a death penalty case. GET OVER IT!!! You get mad that she is famous but yet you still talk about her! So she has to come back to Florida... if someone hurts her I pray they spend the rest of their lives in jail!!!

I disagree with Hurting Truth – Casey was found "not guilty", but that does not mean she is innocent! The term "Not Guilty" does not mean the same as "INNOCENT"! It only means that this jury didn't feel there was quite enough hard evidence to prove First Degree Murder, but they never said that they thought she was "innocent"...

While the POS is receiving her much needed mental help, she may want to start seeing a chiropractor too. Her neck is going to get sore from having to watch her back all the time. Hurray for Judge Perry for this ruling. Those 12 jurors may have found that POS not guilty, but she has been sentenced to a life of misery from the majority of Americans who feel like she is guilty. She deserves at least that much. Welcome back to Florida, you POS.

Karma! What goes around comes around, and you mindless uneducated people that keep defending her are as ignorant as she is.
Evidence ?? We got all the evidence we need, last one to see her child, goes out and parties for 31 days without saying anything to anyone!!! What more do you need?
She is guilty, as released yesterday, of not protecting her child and guilty of her murder. Everyone knows she is guilty.
Yes let us see what happens to her now.
Hmm I wonder if she even remembered her daughter's 6th birthday was this week.
Lose a child from disease like I did and you will have no tolerance for anyone that allows their child to be hurt or killed.
She's got hers coming either from earth or God.

READ THIS! go to florida rules of professional conduct. Biaz and Mason should have a picture on this site. Judge has no other choice but to nail Biaz to the wall. Mason should be added before he retires for flipping everyone the fingar. you have to remember the lid who flipped on the states lawyer.he got 4 days and $600.00 fine. i ask myself. what type of defence wiil biaz and mason use. face it,casy is going away for along time. The Defence states in court casy is a liar. now casy has rules she has to follow on probation. i am wondering how the defence will handel this. if the courts let casy have special rules.the courts every where will be forced to let everyone have special rules. what about the 3 people who tried to kill the that policemen, should they get special rules? why does bias think that casy is so special? he needs to forget about casy and try to figuar out his own defence. the court has to deal with biaz on the contemt charges for his unprofessional behavior. oops ...my bad. casy got her 15 minutes of fame, biaz it's your tern.

Actually, those on probation/parole can cont. taking care of their legal issues IF in a alc/drug recovery facility, and approved by probation officer/parole agent. Along with other individuals with the same legal issues. First of all:
In no way is she an alc/drug addict- wonderful people with a CHANCE/POSSIBILITY of getting better-( I have been an alc/drug counselor for yrs.) She is a psychopath and I would stay the hell away from her!
ANYWAY SHE CAN BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SOMETHING...IS GOOD!

    @thetruthhurts

Your comments are so skewed on so many levels you're embarrassing yourself. I'm not going to launch into all the reasons why, but I will address a few things here. You say "Lack of evidence" are you serious? there were almost 400 pieces of evidence in this case. 400!!! Also, you say she was found innocent. Wrong. She was found not guilty, which basically means, "We can't produce the gun" it doesn't mean "You didn't do it" it just means we can't produce the murder weapon" Also, the jury had the option of manslaughter, so it needing to be the death penalty is false as well. Although I do agree that if it hadn't been for nonstop coverage on the major stations, she wouldn't be famous, thus no one would talk about it, thus she wouldn't have the chance to profit(if in fact she does). If you watch the jennifer ford interview on youtube, you can tell she's not too bright. Also, why would Caylee have duct tape over her mouth if she was already dead? How could a 2 year old climb a ladder by herself? Chloroform? Do you have chloroform in your car? Do you? Go and examine all the cars in your area and tell me how many have that in there.
There is not even .01% 'reason' in the reasonable doubt. The jurors seemed to think that an accident was more probable than murder, I guess, citing a 'lack of evidence'. But here's the kicker; THERE ISN"T ANY EVIDENCE TO POINT TO AN ACCIDENT EITHER! At the end, I think the jurors simply didn't want to believe. It's that simple. To bring down a guilty verdict would have meant an unspeakable act. It makes people feel better by rationalizing it could have been accident.

I'm glad she will get her 'lockdown' time. Probation is NEVER done behind bars, so she should be doing the extra time. I like the fact further that maybe she won't be able to cash-in on these pervert magazines that are gonna pay her dearly. It's really sickening to hear the so-called celebs cashing in on their stupidity. But then again, if the public weren't buying it, there would be no market. Didn't hear too much of a demand to see OJ naked in any magazine after his trial!

I am not that upset if Casey does make money off the story... its no different than Nancy Grace... she is making a bundle of this story and exploiting this tragic death for all its worth. Keep in mind... the public has to "pay" in order for her to make the money (buy books, watch, etc.). At least that is a choice the public makes. If she has no way of making money we ALL will pay for her existance through public assistance programs. I say let her make the money from those who are WILLING to pay.

I have enjoyed not seeing CA's face on TV and in the news – let the media/circus frenzy begin unless it's really kept secret where she serves her probation.
