Gotta Watch: Remembering Steve Jobs

Apple's visionary founder Steve Jobs passed away Wednesday at the age of 56 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Today we pay tribute to Jobs' legacy as we look back at some of the most memorable moments from his life.

Apple’s dedicated founder - In June 2011, Steve Jobs made one of his last public appearances at a Cupertino City Council meeting while presenting plans for a new Apple campus. Despite reports of being ill, Jobs brought his humor and vision and continued to show his dedication to the company he loved.

Jobs: Live each day like it's your last – In 2005, Steve Jobs spoke poignantly about his cancer diagnosis and confronting death. Here, Jobs discusses how being faced with his own mortality inspired him to make the most of his time on Earth.

The creative genius behind Apple - Steve Jobs was Apple's passionate pitchman. Over the years, Jobs was front and center for the unveiling of many of Apple's greatest inventions, most often wearing his classic uniform of blue jeans and a black turtle neck. Steve Jobs' enthusiasm and wit were evident every time he took the stage.

To see more on the life and legacy of Steve Jobs, look back at some of his most memorable moments , hear from those who were closest to him and take a look at the impact his creative spirit has had.

I am an Indonesian student and sure that Steve has accomplished the mission in his life. One lesson I have learned from him that it is not the length of our life that matters but how we can make the most of our short life that is important. So, in addition to finding what and how we can live longer, we have to keep learning about how to make our life meaningful

On Steve Jobs – A Tribute

He thought different and came up with products we desire
He lived a life that inspires
An abandoned child who had dreams
Not just wanting to play and have ice creams
A determined person with brain and heart
Of which he followed and developed into an art

Treasured his family members like oasis in arid land
For he knew grass could not be grown on dehydrated sand
He lived his each single day like it was his last
Dared to enter space with no man there in the past
The space now attracts millions of Applenite
Who consume billions of billion bytes

Obstacles emerged on life’s path he vowed to clear
With his spiritual tool one of the world’s sharpest spear
    Pierced through complacency
    Perforated all things perfunctory
Stayed hungry as the stomach of knowledge would never be full
Stayed foolish as seeds of success could well be sowed without a calculated pull

New waves wash away the old
Making room for the young and bold
Will the young have the sharp spears of their own
Barring complacency perfunctory evils to roam
Will they have the righteous and inspired hearts
Entering new space that shines with humanity and glory and will never be dark

The world is in no shortage of the young and smart
Possessing courage and determination to go into new space’s core part
Opportunities are for the insightful and bold
They vanish into thin air for the lazy and slow
Happiness is to tap and achieve full potential
Without losing sight on loving one’s family and real friends on the go
    So much so
There is no regret when you in turn become the old

      Fantastic Tribute!
Such profound, fiercely truthful–yet soulful and touching description of an 'other worldly' magician who walked (and graced) the earth as a visionary with a scientific edge! How deeply moving to realize that there is a tiny spark of this visionary – Steve Jobs – inside each one of us ... alas lying dormant & sadly unrecognized by most of us... Thanks for this beautiful tribute to Steve Jobs – - and all the readers!
