'Underwear bomber' pleads guilty to all charges

Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab, the Nigerian man accused of trying to detonate an explosive device in his underwear aboard a Christmas 2009 flight to Detroit, pleaded guilty to all counts in court Wednesday.

He had been indicted on charges including attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction, conspiracy to commit an act of terrorism, and possession of a firearm or destructive device in furtherance of an act of violence.

AbdulMutallab had previously pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The announcement comes one day after the prosecution finished its opening statement.
On Tuesday, the prosecution finished its opening statement and the defense said it would reserve the right to give an opening statement at a later point in the trial.

The judge in the trial refused to prevent the prosecution from calling the device he allegedly carried a "bomb."

U.S. District Judge Nancy Edmunds also refused to exclude a photo of AbdulMutallab's burned genitals from the evidence.

While at previous court appearances AbdulMutallab has had outbursts - including yelling "Osama's alive," a reference to Osama bin Laden - he remained calm Tuesday.

AbdulMutallab was indicted on charges including attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction, conspiracy to commit an act of terrorism, and possession of a firearm or destructive device in furtherance of an act of violence.

He was a passenger on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 en route from the Netherlands to Detroit on Christmas Day 2009.

U.S. officials say the terror group al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula was behind the alleged bombing attempt.

Guilty gives him what he wants as long as the sentence is severe enough. It's all for Allah.

There is more to this case than meets the eye. It is alleged that AbdulMutallab did NOT have a passport at Schipol Airport, and was allowed to board the flight only after the intervention of someone 'having a word'. In addition, his father had raised serious concerns about his son's recently acquired fundamentalism with the US Embassy, but this was either not followed up or ignored. It was only because the bomb malfunctioned that over 300 innocent souls were saved. Could it be that certain 'dark' forces have an interest in allowing terrorist acts to occur???

I agree. All failed suicide bombers should be taken to some bomb range and blown up, just as they had wanted. Knowing right before they die that they failed their mission but will still have the same fate.

He is focused on the wrong things in life, and needs to get himself together! Hopefully, consistent praying and long thought in prison will straighten him out... And while he playin around, he could invest in some damn chap-stick!

How this moron could say that murder of any innocent human is not forbidden by Quran? The Quran unequivocally ordains in Book 5 namely Al-Maidah, Verse 32 that under the laws of Quran killing one innocent human soul is like killing entire mankind. ( Because, all the mankind have emerged only from one founder of humanity " Adam") There are Arabic to English Translated Quran available in every Muslim Worship places and Community centers in every city, also available free online. Any body could confirm the above commandment of Quran on their computer or pick from any Mosque/Muslim Centers. In Quran Jesus the son of Holy Mary is praised, glorified and mentioned by his full name 25 times whereas Muhammad is mentioned by his name only 5 times? Quran praises Torah, Psalms and Bible as being the Books of guidance, and scriptures of enlightenment in several verses, again and again, In Book 5 verse 82 Quran praises the true Christians as being the people of knowledge, and humility and tells the Muslims that, from all the people of the world they will find the people of Jesus more friendly and helping than others. In Book 4 verse 159 as translated and understood by the majority of unbiased and open-minded Muslims it is clear than in the end only Jesus will return back and all the people of faith will embrace him as their last Spiritual leader and Savior ( Mesiah ) and that he (Jesus) will stand as a witness infront of God on the final day of judegement. Any Muslim having read the above verses of Quran can not dare even to have any ill feeling against any Christian or imagine to hurt any innocent fellow human, else he/she will no remain to be a Muslim. Above mentioned facts could be seen in online Quran within few minutes just by moving the finger tips. Those ignorant and brainwashed fanatics, extremists and terrorists claiming to be Muslims and causing any death or destruction to even a single innocent human soul in fact do not belong from any religion but to the Saitan/Demon. When all the innocent children of Egypt and Jerusalem were killed because the Kings of the time wanted to get rid of Moses and Jesus the Islam was not even born?
Crucification of Jesus and persecution of his 11 out of 12 Apostles was not done by any Muslim? The gruesome human carnage of Arizona killing so many innocent Amereicans including children and the life threatening injury of the Congress Woman, then only a few hours earlier the killings of innocent 8 Americans in California Saloon is not committed by any Muslim, black or any Mexican? There thousands of such examples? The genocide of about half a millions Rawandan in less than fortnight at the hands of their own Country men recently was not perpetrated by any Muslim? There are good and bad people born in every religion, race and place? We all are the children of Adam & Eve and people of the same one Creator and have to return back to him only. It is very sad that the Children of Adam & Eve falling prey to the evils of the Saitan like their founder parents, , been engaged since the first human chilld Cane, in the mayhem and destruction of their own Human Family?
