Quake hits northwestern China

A magnitude 6.0 earthquake rattled northwestern China on Tuesday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake struck at 8:21 a.m. (8:21 p.m. Monday ET), according to the USGS. It was centered in northern Xinjiang province at a depth of nearly 17 miles below the surface, the agency reported.

The epicenter was 96 km from the city of Yining and about 130 km from China's border with Kazakhstan, the USGS said. There was no immediate report of damage or injuries.

    Chemicals That Mimic Hormones

Hormones are important chemical messengers in the body. They travel through our bloodstream to
other parts of our body, where they either stimulate or suppress a certain function, such as
body growth or reproductive cycles. Interestingly, a recent press release by the World Health
Organization (WHO) said that "a rapidly growing body of scientific evidence" indicates that
certain synthetic chemicals, when taken into the body, interfere with hormones by either
imitating them in a harmful way or blocking them.

The chemicals involved include PCBs,** dioxins, furans, and some pesticides, including DDT
residues. Called endocrine disrupters, these chemicals have the potential to disrupt the
normal workings of the body's endocrine system, the source of hormones. Many of our foods such
as meat and dairy products are processed from animals raised using hormones to make them fatter
and to produce more milk. Many pharmaceutical drugs also tamper with natural hormone levels in humans.

**PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), in widespread use since the 1930's, are a family of over
200 oily compounds used in lubricants, plastics, electrical insulation, pesticides, dishwashing
liquids, and other products. Though PCB production is now banned in many countries, between one
and two million tons have been manufactured. Toxic effects have resulted from discarded PCBs
that have found their way into the environment.

@Real News What you have to say is true, but what does that have to do with people getting all shook up by an earthquake? A fom the looks of the responses to this article, people aren't getting too shook up about earthquakes any more. We can feel sorry about the victums but there is little we can do. This may seem heartless, but we shouldn't send any money to China to help with this disaster, not the way China has treated the U.S. China has stolen too much money from the U.S. as it is. We don't need to send food or water, they have their own resorces. We don't need to send any physical help either, there are enough people there to help.

@justathought...we hear news of EQ's daily. If you people want, they can easily ignore my posts. And money won't stop EQ's. Just like only 5 cents out of every dollar donated for African relief actually reaches Africa, any monies donated to an China relief fund would only end up in some greedy American pockets. Not to mention that China owns much of US, and could already afford to buy and sell US three times over.

One hormone that these chemicals mimic is the female seyzx hormone estrogen. A study published
in the medical journal Pediatrics suggests that an increased prevalence of early puberty among
many girls could be linked to estrogen-containing hair products as well as environmental
    chemicals that mimic estrogen.

Exposing a male to certain chemicals at a critical time in his development can have adverse
effects. "Experiments have shown," says a report in Discover magazine, "that PCBs applied at
just the right time during development can change male turtles and alligators into females or
    'interseyzx' individuals."

notes: I say that peoples orientations have been confused in recent decades by the use of dangerous chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and hormones used to even make cattle fatter and produce more milk. I say that there is a link between this and those whom just stalk and raype boys...never girls. The lion's share of our boys are stlked and rayped by openly gay religious leaders and other well respected men in our communities who join religions and organizations like the Boy Scouts for one reson: easy access to our boys, and the portections afforded by huge well-respected organaizations that think they should hide these men rather than calling the police on them. We actually trust these men with our boys.

To think that all child molesters belong in the same catergory is rediculous, and is misleading. You will never see CNN reporting "Boy Scouts officials covered for gay man caught molesting boys". Much of CNN's users are gays and those who "understand" and shelter them. (denoted by them using only lower-case letter usernames) CNN refuses to cover these stories, so I bring them to you regularly.

  5. Boy Scouts officials covered for openly gay man molesting children

You won't ever see CNN reporting this news here. News of this gay man caught red=handed molesting a Boy Scout of Canada is never shown. How did he make it to Canada? He was a gay man who had been a Boy Scout volunteer in Orange County, CA for over 5 years. He had admitted to 3 counts of molestation to Boy Scout officials who kept it a secret rather than calling the police. Yes, the officials are also gay men. They try to keep the fact that gay men whom lust for just boys have been infiltrating the BSA for decades...and CNN wants it kept a secret also. Do you want the link between the vast majority of boy stalking and boy raypeing and openly gay men kept secret? Even to the point of attacking someone whom reports what CNN refuses?

@Joey. I would like to continue our discussion concerning the link between altered oreintations and those whom exclusively stalk and raype just boys.

    "Real news":

    Can't resist, can you?
"Much of CNN’s users are gays and those who “understand” and shelter them. (denoted by them using only lower-case letter usernames)"
I would love to see how one arrives at such a ridiculous conclusion.
You used to go by "phil" (denoted by the lower case "p") yourself, actong as if you were an elderly man, until you decided to step up your "indoctrination".
If you don't want people to dismiss what you say, stop opening every "conversation" with a disclaimer that guarantees that you, yourself start everyone off on the offensive.

    @justathought:
I'm sure that by now you have figured out that "Real news" is the macroblogger Philip, denoted by usernames that change on a regular basis, despite him constantly lambasting others he suspects of doing to same.

  7. God and EQ's

Your preisdent believes in the bible. Please do not make fun of him. He swore an oath to you with his hand on the bible. And according to President Obama's bible, God does NOT cause EQ's. He just knew that after mankind polluted this earth and drilled hundred's of thousands of deep holes in the ground for oil to burn along with coal, that EQ's would be earth's natural reaction. He taught his son Jesus Christ, his first-born son, all of this and when Jesus came to earth he foretold that they would occur increasingly in our times. Any 'holy man' who says god causes EQ's is a liar. EQ's don't care who they kill. God does.
